HIMCR04NSD - Use a Critter

Hi! I'm back for our fourth challenge of the day at Hiding in my Craftroom's National Scrapbooking Day celebration. And we're challenged to use a critter! It can be any critter: furry, creepy, crawly, or one that flies; it can be cute, pretty, or otherwise! Again any project is welcome!

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

One lucky winner will receive
3 Sweet N Sassy digital images!

I had the opportunity to pick an image from SNSS that I really enjoyed working with, called Birds and Roses. And this is how I incorporated it on my card:

Materials
Sweet n' Sassy stamps - Birds and Roses, Vintage Seed Packet
Spellbinders:
- Gold Circles One
- Classic Circles
- Gold Elements One
Papers:
Shery K. Designs - Victoria Super Mega Pack
Haj Designs - Gorgeous Roses
Brilliance pigment ink in Coffee Bean
Ranger Distress ink in Old Paper
Ranger embossing ink
Inkadinkado embossing powder in Pearlescent
Spectrum Noir markers - Pinks, Reds
Staedtler markers - greens, light browns, yellow
UHU glue stick
Bazic two sided tape and foam tape
Merletto Crystals
Other generic materials
Textured cardstock in light pink
Feuille cardstock in sand beige
Specialty cardstock in pearlescent soft pink
Eggshell cardstock in white
5/8" gross grain ribbon in sand beige

This is an A2 gate card I made using a sketch from Gloria Stengel. I wanted to give this card a cottage country feel to it, to match the lovely image. The front consists of 3 layers and ribbon. Each side of the gate card was layered exactly the same to give the illusion of one same layer. Once that was done, I attached various elements to the left side of the gate, starting with a square made of the largest die from Gold Elements One (cut in half and attached together again to form the square). On top of it I placed my framed image and the little banner and sentiment. To finish the card I added some crystals and a double bow with long tails.

I hope you enjoyed this card too. Please stop by Hiding in my Craft Room and join our celebration.

I'll be back in an hour for our very last challenge of the day! See you then!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast. So the behind the scenes may not ha
