Graciellie Design at Word Art Wednesday - $15 Gift Card & Inspiration Projects

I am joining Word Art Wednesday Challenge today, together with some of Graciellie Design's Creative Team to showcase their weekly verse printable using our digital stamps. I decided to go for a subtle pool and white card with a touch of gray and Lapis Watercolor Deco Foil . To view this and other new stamp sets click here . I printed the verse using a laser printer and foiled the sentiment in Black Deco Foil , which is actually kind of matte. The foiling made the verse look bolder, added contrast and laminated the print. (It's a super nice effect.) The flowers were foiled with  Lapis Watercolor Deco Foil   which has blue, silver and champagne hues. By watercoloring the flowers in light blue it made the foiling look tone on tone... Very subtle and elegant. I used Zig markers to color the images. The die cuts used are all from Spellbinders. I did a lot of die cut layering like in the old days. I added a piece of gray grossgrain ribbon to match the beautiful L...

Watercolored Peony with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

I've been loving my Zig markers and have been using it so much lately! Today once again I'm sharing a beautiful emboss resist watercolored peony from Peaceful Peonies by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps . I used a color I don't usually use but it sure makes you think of Summer! I'm also using a couple of stunning papers from Paper Temptress today! I do not use watercolor paper to color since I am unable to find it where I live, but I use a paper that does not absorb the water so much and I use little water and that does the trick. I'm guessing the paper (called Opalina), is very compressed or has a thin coating that makes it work well with watercolors. I used yellow, hot pink and a peachy pink to color the flowers and two tones of green for the leaves. To make the flower look even fuller I added leaf die cuts in olive green and also some ferns in Gold Metallic Vellum . The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on heavyweight vellum #48 in gold sparkle emboss...

Trust in God with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Today I'm sharing a simple but versatile idea to mix and enhance your card front using 2 different stamp sets to create a focal sentiment and a verse to go along with it. My card has a striking, beautiful color palette. The fun polka dot pattern on the background adds a fun touch to the card. This is a bright and feminine ensemble that says Summer all along. The encouraging word and verse are perfect for the card front. I used one of the words from  Words of Life  as the focal sentiment and then I stamped right under it a verse from  Peaceful Peonies .I framed the inspiring sentiment with decorative die cuts and a heat embossed peony I colored with watercolor markers. I invite you to stop by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop   to take a closer look at these and many other new stamps. The shop has also a 50% off stamp and die sale you might like too! Beautiful Camellias - Spring Cardmaking Inspiration with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Today I want to brighten up your day with a pop of yellow with this fresh and Spring forward handmade card. A splash of watercolor and some alcohol marker coloring against a clean background sure makes you dream of Spring and Summer... I used my latest stamp design for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps,  Floral Greetings . You get 2 floral images in this set and I decided to go with the Camellia bloom this time. I stamped it multiple times and fussy cut 2 flowers and as many leaves I could. Although the background was watercolored the flowers were colored with Spectrum Noir markers in different tones of yellow. I used the flowers to frame the minimalist die cut wreath and added a few strips of blue and green cardstock to break the structure of the card front at the same time that it blends in the color palette. Finally I adhered a banner with a greeting stamped and heat embossed in gold on vellum and added some rhinestones to finish the card. More inspiration using this stamp...
