Vintage Christmas

Hello! Welcome to a new post for Classy Cards 'n Such challenge: Christmas Die Cuts . I absolutely love to work with dies, and Christmas dies in particular are often so pretty and dainty. That means this challenge was so much fun to me! I went ahead and made my Christmas card in vintage style. To make it, first I die cut all the decorative elements with PoppyStamps dies, starting with a Mini Madison Window I cut from light brown cardstock. Then I die cut four Small Blooming Poinsettias from red cardstock. I made two poinsettias, each of them layered twice, to make them look fuller. I also die cut a Pine Garland from pearlized and embossed olive green paper. I made a small tag with the help of A2 Matting Basics A (third die). I dry embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder. I used a technique called Colored Dry Embossing. I basically used a blender marker from Spectrum Noir to lift and apply Chromium Oxide Green from PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit-Landscape starter set. I love

Autumn Butterfly - House of Cards

Welcome to my post for this month's challenge at House of Cards : Autumn Photo/Color Inspiration. Though there are no defined seasons where I live, I do enjoy seeing, through pictures, all the beautiful earthy tones that Fall brings. Of course, these tones are consequence of every tree giving in to colder temperatures, leaves drying and falling, and in general, nature dying so it can be renewed once again during Spring. I have seen families and friends going through their own Autumn recently (some of them are still struggling), and all I can do is pray that God's grace surrounds them and that He fulfills all their present needs. Hopefully, just as in nature, these trying times will be temporary for them. My card for today is possibly Vintage, but the polka dots make it look a bit Shabby Chic too... I suppose I mixed a bit of both styles together! One thing is sure, I love how the design resulted. To make my card I started out by stamping Butterfly from Our Daily B

Rose Culture

Hello! Today I want to share with you a project I made with Ewe-n-Me Printables ! This time, I made a vintage card, using their Collage Sheet - Roses . These images are beautiful, and they print so bright and pretty... Love them! I used an unusual color combination to make this card and I love how it resulted. It really looks vintage and lovely. I couldn't resist adding a gold vintage button to the blue bow to finish my design. I printed the digital image on white linen cardstock. The die cuts I used framed the image very nicely. I used light brown leather textured cardstock and light blue metallic cardstock for the frames. The yellow cardstock used for the card base is lightly textured and it's called Hawaii where I live. I altered the largest frame to make it shorter. I basically cut it in half and adhered it again trying to get the right height for the front of the card. I ran across the middle of the frame a piece of blue satin ribbon and embellished it with a b

Three Roses

Welcome to a new post for Classy Cards 'n Such weekly challenge: Cozy Plaids . It is with great joy, and a thankful heart that I write in this occasion, since today's card represents a bunch of different good things in my life: Family, true friends, unconditional support and love. To make my card I started by die cutting my card base with A2 Matting Basics A from off white cardstock. Then I printed a plaid digital paper, and a digital floral tag I designed, on White Pearl Linen . I die cut a matting frame and four corners with A2 Filigree Delight and a label with Fancy Label Tags One , both from the plaid patterned sheet. I die cut the floral tag with Elegant Ovals . I also used Elegant Ovals to cut a larger oval from beige cardstock. I layered the four corners right on top of the frame's corners to create a subtle tridimensional effect, subtle because both were cut from the same paper. I added a piece of pink ribbon vertically right on the center. Then I mount

WINNER + New Giveaway!

Hello everyone! It's about time I announce the winner of my last giveaway. Lots of things have happened recently and I really couldn't find a moment to post the winner. Some of those things were really good and some not so much. To share a few, I had the opportunity to meet in person with a friend I got to know through my blog, a fan of my handmade cards, that came all the way from Belgium to visit her family. We had to meet, and I'm so glad we did. What a nice time we had! On the other hand a friend's father passed away later that evening... His loss is even more significant to me because his dad passed away just the way my father did. I hope and pray the Lord blesses this family and gives them strenght and overwhelming peace to carry on. But as you can tell, my heart feels heavy too. I can still say I feel blessed, in the midst of it all... I am really happy to have the chance to share with you my projects and digital creations. As you may know by now, I'
