New Stamp Release! + Giveaway
Monochromatic Foiled Cards

New digital stamps and more inspiration projects by the designers are ready for you! Welcome to our second stamp release by Graciellie Design Digital Shop . We were so happy with the response, comments and support we received last month, that this time we decided to create a beautiful, inspiring and versatile release that we know you'll love! We have a blog hop and giveaway today so we hope you can join the celebration for a chance to win a new digital stamp set of your choice! I made three monochromatic cards for your inspiration, using several images from our new release... On my first card I used the set  You are the Sweetest . I printed and fussy cut this sweet kitty, wrapped ribbon around it and added a big bow. I also printed one of the sentiments and cut a banner. (This image is so detailed and pretty.) I created the foiled lace background using a die cut and a hot melt adhesive sheet, which I ran through my Minc machine. I also foiled the edges of my card base ...

Dreaming of a White Christmas
gilded & elegant christmas card

I have a confession to make... This year I've been drawn to make white and gold Christmas cards. I can't even think of traditional Christmas colors when I want to make a project! So today's poinsettia card and tutorial translate very well what Christmas is gonna be like this December at home. White and gold look so elegant together! Since the holidays are all about sparkle too, I used one of my favorite glitter techniques and I'm sharing a quick and easy tutorial with you HERE . I created the background myself, layering snowflake stamps in different designs, first in a very light beige, then in gold embossing. Afterwards, I dry embossed the stamped mat with a sutile polka dot design and used a brayer to apply light beige paint to the raised pattern. As for the very layered and beautiful center of the card, I started out with an intricate die cut (see tutorial  HERE ) and continued building layers, with large snowflake die cuts and finally with a large h...

Textured Poinsettias
monochromatic christmas card

I finally had a chance to photograph my card for today! Between rainy days and some needed rest, at last I was able to spend a whole morning in my craft room. Christmas will be here before we know it and I love Poinsettias, so today I'm sharing a lovely clean and layered card with lots of different textures and elements! One of my favorite colors for Christmas cards is pool / aquamarine. I used at least 3 tones of white and used sand / beige too. I always find that silver metallic accents compliment cards beautifully when I use this color combination! To achieve the texture on my Poinsettias I used one of my favorite non-crafty supplies: shelf liner. This shape is a bit tricky to die cut on the liner because of the flower's tiny center... Sometimes the petals may separate but you can always adhere them back to the ensemble. The accents added included pearl stamens, craft metal and metallic cardstock die cuts, rhinestones and a word bead. The white column o...

Christmas in August?
house of cards challenge: metallics

Welcome to a new month of creative inspiration! This month our challenge at House of Cards is Metallics. Feel free to translate our cue word to your papercrafting project however you like! I used gold metallic cardstock to create a white Christmas card with some vintage like paper poinsettias. I am late to the Christmas in July movement, so I'm sharing my first Christmas card today instead! I used a technique from my tutorials (found here ) to make my flowers. The technique added texture and a very dramatic look to the poinsettias. I also played with the delicate die cuts in gold to create a nice medallion. I have to admit that I love adding polka dot embossing to my cards, so I am happy with the final look of the card.  I hope you feel inspired to join our challenge this month! I am glad you stopped by today! Until next time! Shared also with:  Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge No Ordinary Paper / Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes / Si...

In His Time

Hello! I want to share a card I made using some lovely items from Classy Cards 'n Such store . It is a monochromatic square card in pink and white. To make this lovely card I die cut four square medallions with Spellbinders Damask Motifs from Stardream Rose Quartz metallic cardstock (sincerely, one of my favorite cardstocks). I added the medallions one next to the other to cover the front of the white card base. Next I added a piece of 3/8" gross grain ribbon across the middle of the card, vertically. I heat embossed a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Faith stamp set in Silver detail , on white cardstock. I die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders Adorning Squares and then I stenciled the resulting label with Ranger Distress Ink in Spun Sugar, using Ranger's Mini Ink Blending Tool . I die cut four flowers from Stardream Rose Quartz, with Small Blooming Poinsettia by PoppyStamps. I double layered each flower and with one of them I didn'...

Autumn Simplicity

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such : 1-2-3 Use 1 of something, use 2 of something, use 3 of something. I went for a clean and layered, male, fall design in green and brown. For my card I used one embellishment (bow), two stamps (pear and sentiment) and 3 die cuts from Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A. First I stamped the pear image and the sentiment with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on off white leather textured cardstock. These classic looking stamps are from Inky Antics' Holy Spirit's Fruit set. Once done, I used the out of the box technique to die cut a small label leaving part of the pear image outside of it. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers from their Greens set. The texture of the cardstock gave the pear a nice texture, but it almost doesn't show on the photo. I also stenciled the label with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.  I adhered the central label on a light brown label, which was also added to ...

Lilac Elegance

Hello and welcome to a new inspiration post for Classy Cards 'n Such . Our challenge this week is to use Buttons and Bows in our cards. Today I'd like to share a card that represents very much my approach to the classy and elegant cardmaking style. I enjoy to combine colors with white to create contrast, and today is no exception... Lilac and white combined always result, from my point of view, in a very elegant design. For this creation I used Spellbinders dies. I started off as always with my indispensable A2 Matting Basics A . I used the largest die of this set to cut my card base and patterned layer. I like to print my digital designer papers in White Pearl Linen (it's one of my favorite cardstocks). The patterned layer was dry embossed with a M-Bossabilities folder , to add some interest and texture.  For the next layer I created a central column using the largest die from the A2 Filigree Delight set. To do this:   1. I die cut the frame and centr...

Blue Shabby Love

Clean and Layered?

Hello to all of you! I have explained before that my heart seems to be big enough to love two different totally opposite styles... Even I am amazed with this. Is that right? Is it at all possible to be dual styled? I have no idea... But I feel both come out naturally... It really depends on my mood.  Another thing that you might have noticed as well is that I have a crush with vellum lately... LOL. This time, I wanted to try a shadowing technique, using the same stamp in 2 tones of the same color, or sort. And I stamped the image in reflection to fill the front of the card, it just felt right... I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum, which I stained/distressed in pink. Materials Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics Grand Calibur die cut machine Penny Black: Tweet Tweet Hero Arts: Friends are Treasures Memento ink in: Angel Pink, Rose Bud Inkadinkado embossing powder in Glam Gold Wow heat tool Bazic two sided tape and mounting tape Other generic mat...
