Steampunked Christmas Tag

Days are going by so fast and Christmas is right around the corner, so there's only a few more days left to make beautiful Christmas projects. Today I want to share a tag that I created for Sin City Stamps . To make it I used a very nice stamp set from Sin City Stamps called Steampunk'd Christmas. I honestly love how this tag turned out. I wish the photo made it justice! To make my tag I followed these steps: 1. Stamp and heat emboss in gold the largest gear stamp on a beige cardstock tag. I stamped it twice. 2. Stamp and heat emboss in gold a post stamp on the tag too. 3. Apply Crafter's Ink in Aquamarine and Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to the tag using a sponge applicator. 4. Die cut three poinsettias in white and sponge with ink to match the tag's background. 5. Embellish the poinsettias with aquamarine pearl stickers. 6. Stamp the Christmas word sentiment to a piece of beige cardstock and cut a banner. 7. Apply inks to the banner to match the rest...

Butterfly Canvases with Cottonwood Arts

This month Sin City Stamps partnered with Cottonwood Arts . I love CA's canvases and I've enjoyed making projects with them during the last months. Let's take a look at a set of butterfly canvases I presented separately, but that were designed to go together as a set. I used a stamp set called Love of Butterflies on both projects. It's a plate of rubber you can find on Sin City Stamps store! There are step by step tutorials available for both canvases. Visit my snapguide page or Sin City Stamps blog to check them out! Hope you are inspired to get some Cottonwood Arts canvases or journals to try out some mixed media projects. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Shabby Chic Canvas

Hello and welcome to a new post for Sin City Stamps ! This month Sin City Stamps has partnered with Gelli Arts ! What a great combination of products! I've had a great time creating personalized backgrounds with Gelli Arts' Gel Plate, and adding details with SCS stamps. It's almost therapeutic the way the projects come together, and how we have no precise control of the resulting background using the Gel Plate (a truly spontaneous artistic process). Today I want to show you a 6"x 6" pink, gold, and silver canvas I made. One Layer Printing & Stamping with Gelli Plates

Today I'm excited to share a project I made for Sin City Stamps in partnership with Gelli Arts , the makers of Gel Printing Plates. I created a stamped image with an amazing background, all in one layer! Many possibly know already what a Gelli Plate is, but in case you are not familiar with it I'll give you a brief intro. A Gel Printing Plate looks and feels like gelatin, but is durable, reusable and stores at room temperature. It's easy to clean and always ready for printing. Monoprinting on a Gelli plate is simple and fun. You can use it with acrylic or poster paints, and you may combine it with stencils, and masks. You can also create textures and patterns using a wide range of simple materials or tools. Once you press down your cardstock to the plate, you'll get a great background, which will result different every single time. Warning: It may be addictive!
