I love the versatility of Ann's Faux Quilting rubber stamps and also her Crafter's Inks, so I decided to use the stamps to add texture to clay leaves and the inks to color them too. What a privilege it has been to join Our Daily Bread Designs ' talented team this month as their guest designer! I'm so thankful! Today I'm sharing a masculine card. This card is quite simple. I wanted to make a narrow card, that would fit in a tag envelope, so I altered the frame from Flourished Star Pattern Die Set cutting it in half vertically and adhering the halves one on top of the other. To hide the alteration a bit I added a piece of tan gross grain ribbon that also gives the card a rustic feel to the design. This month Sin City Stamps partnered with Cottonwood Arts . I love CA's canvases and I've enjoyed making projects with them during the last months. Let's take a look at a set of butterfly canvases I presented separately, but that were designed to go together as a set. I used a stamp set called Love of Butterflies on both projects. Ann Butler Designs has partnered with Enviromental Technologies and the team has been busy creating projects using resin pieces and more that are being featured on ETI's  blog ! I created a canvas using lots of Ann Butler Designs inks and a couple of paints, and I made lots of pretty vintage embellishments with resin to embellish it! A new challenge is up at Classy Cards 'n Such: Christmas Brights, and I decided to mix a few patterns with bright colors to create my card this week! I certainly went a little CAS with this one! I used Spellbinders dies mostly to make my card. I altered some Fancy Label Tags Two die cuts, cut them in half and used them as borders, adhering them to the back of the yellow block. I mixed two different snowflake sets to create that large snowflake. The largest snowflake was die cut with the Snowflake Pendant set from Spellbinders and the smallest one was cut with the Snowflake set from Stampendous. I double mounted the snowflakes to give them more dimension and embellished them with some Baby Rhinestones Silver. I have a Christmas tag to share with you today, made with Ewe-N-Me Printables' Cocoa/Treat Envelope - Holiday Kris 101. I love this vintage Santa image. I printed the Holiday Kris 101 image and die cut the Santa using a label die with a delicate border. I die cut a second label from metallic embossed cardstock in cream. I mounted the Santa image to the metallic die cut and then adhered a white cardstock label on the back too, to add a message. Finally I added glitter glue to the Christmas tree on the image, trying not to wet the paper too much. This framed Santa would certainly look great on a card too! I used Spellbinders dies to make my card. I made some white and red handmade flowers and created a nice Christmas bouquet. Today I want to share with you a cute pink Christmas card! I thought I'd make a girly Christmas card to keep on my stash since I know there may be a Christmas newborn baby, or also a girl I could give this card to with a girly gift this year. I decided to focus on the lovely Stardream Rose Quartz metallic cardstock, so I die cut a layer and some filigree embellishments from it. I used white leather textured cardstock for my cardbase and top layer, which I die cut using A2 Matting Basics A . I die cut some ornament shaped windows on the top layer with Spellbinders Holiday Tags. I also added a lattice die cut from Heavyweight Vellum with Spellbinders Fancy Lattice and adhered it to the back of the top layer. Next, I attached the pink filigree ornaments to the windows using some Tombow Mono Multi Glue . Before mounting it all to my card base I added a cute tule bow and pink ribbon. To finish the clean and cute design I added large pearls and Baby Rhinestones - Silver . I

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs November Release. As you may know already I've been invited to join ODBD this month as a guest designer. I've been delighted with all your kind and encouraging comments, and of course I'll have a wonderful time designing with ODBD's Splendorous Stars Christmas Collection. Here is a card and gift box set I made for today: I wanted to create a delicate card, so I die cut the card base using the Flourished Star Pattern frame. I added a piece of lilac ribbon around the front of the card and adhered a double bow embellished with a couple of stars. I added a large sentiment, which I stamped and heat embossed in silver on a label die cut. To add contrast, I sponged the label with Memento Lulu Lavender ink. I heat embossed in silver the largest star with a large patterned star stamp. This star stamp didn't precisely coordinate with the size of the star die, but it covered the die cut completely, and m

With so many gorgeous photos for our Christmas challenges I am feeling inspired. This week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such is: Ornaments and Ribbons. I made a card in white and gold that ended up looking very elegant! I started off by die cutting my white card base with Vintage Flourish Pattern . Then I die cut two ornaments with Spellbinders Holiday Tags, also from white cardstock. I wanted to give the ornaments a different look, so I decided I'd stencil it with Pearlescent Embossing Paste , using the Large Damask brass stencil. I applied the paste using the very useful Palette Knife . Once dried, I used a baby wipe to add some Inka Gold in yellow gold to the edges of the ornaments. I die cut some Small Blooming Poinsettia by PoppyStamps from Riccio Astrosilver Embossed Metallic cardstock. I adhered the poinsettias to the ornnaments and embellished them with a few Baby Rhinestones - Silver. I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on White Pearl L

Time is flying, and it seems that it'll be Christmas before we know it! So I think a good Christmas challenge is a great excuse to catch up on all those holiday cards that need to be ready on time! This week at Classy Cards 'n Such our challenge is Trim a Tree : Use a Christmas tree with Gold and/or Silver. What an elegant and classy combination for a holiday card! I decided to make a cleaner card this week, but of course as always you'll notice I used detailed filigree dies, which I find work great with Christmas designs. To make my card I die cut a frame from cream embossed metallic cardstock using the Vintage Flourish Pattern set. Then I die cut a Christmas tree from the silver back of a Delicate Pastels Craft Foil by Spellbinders with an old Christmas Tree die from my stash. Welcome to a special post for Our Daily Bread Designs November Release! This month I'll join ODBD 's talented crew as a guest designer (what a joy!). When I started sharing cards on my blog the Shining the Light challenge was one of the first challenges I participated in. The ODBD team instantly showed me their amazing support with constant words of encouragement and that is something I will always be thankful for! Of course I look up to all the designers and have become good friends with a few. So yes, it is an honor to join them this month, and I can't thank Kelley enough for her kind invitation! I made two cards for today using the stunning dies, stamps and paper collections from this new release. For the first one I combined white, light aqua and gold, adding texture and detail with white tule, aqua ribbon, vellum and a vintage button. The stars were stamped and heat embossed with gold, and so was the sentiment. The gold button tied it all together and gave the card

It's been just a few days since my last post for House of Cards Challenge . Things have changed a bit for the better! Now all of us, the designers from all the different style teams, are going to share our projects for the challenge every 1st of the month on our blogs. We are also going to be adding our creations to the challenge inlinkz so you can hop along, visit each blog, and hopefully be inspired! Our challenge this month is a sketch! Remember you can rotate the sketch and use it as you wish, only let us know your interpretation on your blog post or online gallery. My card follows the sketch almost literally, except for the sentiment label, which I interpreted as a banner.   I decided to make a shabby chic card in soft tones of lilac and blue.
