I was inspired by a friend not long ago who shared a few videos and cards using glitter paste. I decided to create a duplicate paste hoping it would end up as pretty as the original. Turns out it did. Today I'm sharing a video showing you how I made this shabby chic Valentine's card and how I created glitter paste using supplies I already had in my stash. So glad you're joining the fun too! Welcome to the Got Joy Creations blog hop.  Dana has some very exciting news to share. She started her Youtube channel a little over a year ago and she has reached 1,000 followers! We are so happy to be able to celebrate with her. Along the hop today, you will see some amazing projects all featuring a touch of gold.  It could be ribbon, glitter, embossing powder or even sequins. Here is my take for today... One of my favorite gold products lately is foil. If you follow me you might have noticed it (lol). I decided to go for a vintage / shabby chic free style collage card. It is certainly a more modern take on shabby chic, but I do love all the elements together. The little cupid was die cut from Deco Foil double sided foam adhesive to which you just have to add the foil directly, no heat required (view the tutorial here ). I'm starting to feel less and less christmas-y and that means you'll start seeing a lot of floral inspiration on the blog. I thought I'd share with you my latest 2 cards made for my social media Fun Friday features... I experimented with a new dye ink and stretched it to the most not knowing how much it's versatility would surprise me in the end. I'm talking about Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Inks . I was able to stamp, blend, watercolor and even heat emboss (yes, that's right, emboss) with these inks. For my first card I created a beautifully blended ombre background and managed to give it a watercolor feel. I also created ombre flowers. Find the tutorial here . On my second card I used layered stamping with one of Umbrella Crafts Trio Premium Dye Ink Sets and to my own surprise I also heat embossed the stamped flowers in gold using black dye ink (my new favorite)! With the new year also come new crafty tools and new techniques to try out; New opportunities in every sense and new energy to give it our best. So today I have a card for you that represents all of the above in an elegant and inspirational way. I went for black and white, adding gold as my transition shade and the result ended up reminding me of the old 30's glamour. The Arched Elegance dies also contribute with the look of the card and since they are new to my stash I went ahead and layered them as uniquely as I possibly could. I used so many different materials on this card: vellum, craft metal, decofoil and even acrylic paint for the monoprinted background. I started out using a 5" by 7" Gelli plate to create a gold and silver background (love the effect), then I heat embossed in silver a few snowflakes on it; I also cut the flourishes from the same paper. I die cut a few archs on craft metal (which looks like aluminum foil but it's sturdier), and layere
