Birthday Bouquet

Good afternoon! I must say even I am surprised to be here, ready to post a new card so soon. But truth be told, now that I have my Grand Calibur back I'm extra inspired, making cards with lots of dies on them. Also today, I'm feeling full of energy and I didn't want to waste the opportunity to make a card for some other challenges I had been planning to submit to. I absolutely love the theme of this card, the color palette, and the white background... It looks so fresh and colorful. It was inspired by many challenges... That's right! I combined a sketch, an inspiration photo and some element challenges... Yes, I know, multitasking at it's most with my cardmaking.   Here is my card for today: Materials Spellbinders: - Peony - Carnation Creations - Rose Creations - Bitty Blossoms - A2 Matting Basics - Enchanted embossing folder DoCrafts Xcut Large Dies - Leafy Flourishes Inkadinkado: - Personal Impressions stamp set - E

Vintage Male Card & Some Memories

Hi everyone! I feel like it's been a long time since I posted my last card, but I'm here with a new vintage project to show you. I've been wanting to make a male card, since my husband's birthday is approaching, but for some reason I'm always thinking I should start all over and make a new design. I just want it to be perfect! Another reason for me wanting to create a male project is that tomorrow, March 19, is Father's Day here. My dear dad passed away a few years ago, and he is missed greatly. He was so charismatic, outgoing, kind-hearted, very smart and proffesional, a great teacher and mentor. He was there for anyone and everyone. A great father. He contributed very much to our country's agricultural and livestock industry, to education both rural and academic, and most of all he was loved by everyone who knew him. I had to write about him today, because he was a very important part of what I am doing now. Before he passed he told me I should write, h

My Little Garden & a Card

Hello my dear friends. I recently posted a floral card with Zinnias (here) and mentioned that I not only love to stamp and color flowers, but that I also have flowers at my house. So, I was asked by my sweet cyber friend Juanita Estrada, aka Blue Rose, to post pictures of my flowers. And I thought I would take a moment to share with you some of the plants I have. I have flower beds outside my gate and around the corner of my house and also on my front and back porch. And I wish I had even more space to plant.   Welcome to my small garden. I do hope you enjoy the little tour... Desert Rose   It is a little exotic to our region, but because of how much sunlight we have here, it adapts well. It's root looks like a potato, and this is because it absorbs all the water it has a chance to get and keeps it inside. A very clever plant, a survivor really. Doesn't need much care, so if it died, I would be a very, very bad gardener. It flowers with me around 4 times a year, and if

Let's go green!

Hi everyone! I hope you've had a nice weekend so far... As for me, I actually challenged myself to use green on a card. And I went clean & layered too. It's a bit traumatic to go from vintage to green CAL all of a sudden, I don't recommend it... LOL. But I'm one of those who sets on an idea and goes for it whatever it takes... That sounded drastic! Actually, I'm in a place in my creative life where I need to discover more of what I am capable of, and challenges help me with that. Below is my personal inspiration photo for this card (not that I wasn't inspired by the challenges' photos or color boards too :D)...   Google search So yes, it is a floral card -what a surprise-. LOL. And with no further ado, here's what I came up with: Materials Flourishes stamps - Flowers for Jan Inkadinkado stamps - Floral expressions Memento dye ink - Rich Cocoa Brilliance pigment ink - Coffee Bean Hero Arts Cleardesign Bl
