I got some good news!

Yes, I got some good news to share with you today: His mercies are NEW every morning! And there is no way I could be here speaking to you through this post without God's mercy. As his mercies renew we too strenghten and find a way to wake up, get out of our beds and keep going. This week at Classy Cards 'n Such we have a challenge that we'd love you to join: Time For A "New Year" - Use something new you just received and add some glitter and/or bling . I also adhered the three small medallions on top of the border. Once I added all the die cu

Steampunked Christmas Tag

Days are going by so fast and Christmas is right around the corner, so there's only a few more days left to make beautiful Christmas projects. Today I want to share a tag that I created for Sin City Stamps . To make it I used a very nice stamp set from Sin City Stamps called Steampunk'd Christmas. I honestly love how this tag turned out. I wish the photo made it justice! To make my tag I followed these steps: 1. Stamp and heat emboss in gold the largest gear stamp on a beige cardstock tag. I stamped it twice. 2. Stamp and heat emboss in gold a post stamp on the tag too. 3. Apply Crafter's Ink in Aquamarine and Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to the tag using a sponge applicator. 4. Die cut three poinsettias in white and sponge with ink to match the tag's background. 5. Embellish the poinsettias with aquamarine pearl stickers. 6. Stamp the Christmas word sentiment to a piece of beige cardstock and cut a banner. 7. Apply inks to the banner to match the rest

Patterned Christmas Wishes

This week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such is focused on Christmas Wrappings . I went for a CAS, window card. I started out by printing two digital patterned paper on Pearl White Linen . I removed the backing and added a mix of Crystal Ice and Green Nugget glitters from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle. I adhered it to the center of the window with foam tape. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Hero Arts Friends are Treasures stamp set on  Heavyweight Vellum , using Silver Detail embossing powder. I added the vellum banner across the center of the window and tucked the ends, adhering them to the back of the layers with 1/2" Scor-Tape .

Vintage Blue Christmas

Christmas is approaching, and there can never be enough Christmas cards, right? Today's card is unusual for me, since it's blue! It sure is suitable for any recipient, because of it's classic design. Supplies A2 Matting Basics A  Vintage Flourish Pattern Fancy Label Tags One  Fancy Label Tags Two White Pearl Linen  Baby Rhinestones - Silver 1/2" Scor-Tape I used beige and blue metallic cardstocks together with blue patterned paper. I printed a Christmas tag on linen. Then I mounted the image on various labels, but they are actually altered. The image is directly adhered to a combination of two blue Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One, which were glued one on top of the other and that ended up looking like and oval. Then I die cut a label from Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor, to which I cut the sides, making it narrower. Finally I combined two Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags Two, to create a long rectangle. I made the card base using Spellbinders A2 Matting

Rustic Poinsettia Tag

Today I want to share a tag I made for this week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such : Christmas Tags. I used a lovely pre-printed tag from Fancy Pants Designs' Burlaps and Bouquets collection. I picked the burned red and beige from the tag and added green as a third color, to create a nice, earthy combination. I used beige cardstock for the die cuts entirely and colored them with ink afterwards, that way I could have a hint of beige everywhere. Main Supplies Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Spellbinders New Fancy Label Tags One Mini Ink Blending Tool 1/2" Scor-Tape  Baby Pearls - LeCreme  I die cut two small poinsettias, and cut some petals from a smaller flower for the leaves too, since the original leaf die was too large to fit the small tag. I colored the poinsettias with Barn Door distress ink and the leaves with Peeled Paint distress ink . I die cut two coordinating labels with the new Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One. I stenciled the labels
