Easter Bunny Frilly Card
- Adding Tons of Layers & Texture -

Some of my favorite seasonal die cuts and stamps are Easter / Spring themed. What better season to play with textures, shabby chic layers and cute die cuts? Today I'm sharing a very layered and textured Easter card using some pretty dies and some new supplies I tried out for the first time.

Supplies:
Graciellie Design | Happy Easter Digital Stamp Set
Dies | Spellbinders: Rose Creations, Gold Elements One / Poppystamps: Chocolate Bunny / Cheery Lynn Designs: English Party Doily
Ink | Colorbox Mixed Media Inx in Chiffon
Embellishments | Eyelet Outlet: Vintage Washi Tape, 12mm Jewel Bling - Clear Edge, Swirl Bling -Jewel Champagne / May Arts Ribbon: 4 Millimeter Pearlized String Beads Ribbon / Marion Smith Designs: White pearl stamens / SU: Linen thread
Finishes | DecoArt: Snow-Tex / Shimmerz Spray Sparkle
Miscelaneous | Beige, White & Pink cardstock, permanent clear glue (uhu), lace, pink gross grain ribbon, sponge dauber, palette knife, shelf liner.

This card started out with the need to use some beautiful old die cuts I hadn't taken out in a while. I created a detailed square using a corner die, die cutting with it twice to cover the squared layer completely. After that, I started adding layer upon layer, distressing the edges and inking them with my new favorite ink: Mix'd Media Inx by Donna Salazar for Colorbox -which I think works perfect for this kind of project-.

I also made some pretty flowers with another product by Donna Salazar, her beautiful Rose Creations Dies. I shaped them using a basic technique from my Handmade Flowers 1 video tutorial. I alternated the flowers' layers with beige and pink and inked the petals with the same soft pink ink used before. I also decided to add a layer of grip liner material on the flowers, using the same die to cut it.

Of course, what is a shabby chic card without embellishments? I added DIY banners made with vintage themed washi tape, I added stunning jewels to the center of the flowers, ribbon, pearl stamens, string beads, linen thread, tulle, ribbon and lace. But I think the little bunny die cut gives the card a unique touch after I applied some DecoArt Snow-Tex paste to make it textured!

Finally I added an Easter sentiment from the new digital stamp set Happy Easter.

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast. So the behind the scenes may not ha
