Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to!

The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection.

Video Tutorial
This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast. So the behind the scenes may not have been as quick but that is just to make the process easier for you! Click below to watch.

List of Supplies
Find the complete list on supplies on Therm O Web blog, with links so you can easily click and take a closer look to what I used on this card. I also try to always include additional supplies from my stash used to make a project in case you're curious. Once you're at TOW's blog, make sure to check out the incredible collection of Holiday projects the designers and I have been sharing all month long! I'm sure you'll find something you like! Make sure to pin those so you can try them out later!

That's all for now, in case I'm not back this week I wish you a wonderful Christmas and I hope you enjoy the rest of the week surrounded by your loved ones in peace and harmony like it should be! Until next time!

Before we go into today's giveaways details, I would love to share the first card I made with my new rubber stamp sets! This is one of my favorite flowers in the collection and I had to play with it right away! This set is called Amazing Things and it includes beautiful inspirational sentiments.

I stamped the flowers in black, using Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Ink and colored the image with Spectrum Noir Makers Purples and Reds. I fussy cut the images using Westcott's Titanium Bonded Microtip Precision Scissors (…

Dreaming of a White Christmas
gilded & elegant christmas card

I have a confession to make... This year I've been drawn to make white and gold Christmas cards. I can't even think of traditional Christmas colors when I want to make a project! So today's poinsettia card and tutorial translate very well what Christmas is gonna be like this December at home.

White and gold look so elegant together! Since the holidays are all about sparkle too, I used one of my favorite glitter techniques and I'm sharing a quick and easy tutorial with youHERE.

I created the background myself, layering snowflake stamps in different designs, first in a very light beige, then in gold embossing. Afterwards, I dry embossed the stamped mat with a sutile polka dot design and used a brayer to apply light beige paint to the raised pattern.

As for the very layered and beautiful center of the card, I started out with an intricate die cut (see tutorial HERE) and continued building layers, with large snowflake die cuts and finally with a large handmade poinsettia …

New Stamp Release + Giveaway!
-Introducing our new Creative Team-

Welcome to Graciellie Design's first stamp release for 2017! We are so glad you're here! Today we are starting off with not only new stamp sets but also a new team of designers that will make your day with the beautiful projects they have made for you!

This new release includes 4 brand new sets with inspiring images and sentiments that you can resize, recolor, foil, decoupage and much, much more! As you follow along today's blog hop you will have a chance to see each of our new stamps used in creative ways. I know you will be inspired by the designer's project ideas.

Today I'm using stamps from -You are Loved-. I couldn't resist foiling this romantic rose on vellum. To give the card a soft contrast I used one of the new watercolor Deco Foil, that actually has different tones of lilac and purple allowing the image to really glow and stand out. I colored the back of the vellum with magenta using a Spectrum Noir alcohol marker.

The sentiment was also foiled on whi…
