Thanks a Bunch - House of Cards

Hello! Welcome to my second post for House of Cards challenge. As you may know I'm part of the Vintage/Shabby Chic team, and I will always be posting my project on the last week of the month. House of Cards challenge is now running monthly to give you all more time to link up your creations. Throughout the month, various teams, representing a different style, present their inspiration projects, and now it's my team's turn.

This month our challenge is a sketch! Check it out:

When I saw this sketch all I could imagine was ribbon and lace, with lace die cut borders. And so this is what I came up with:

Supplies
Spellbinders - Classic Edges Two, Classic Decorative Inserts Three, A2 Matting Basics A, Timeless Rectangles.
Craft Concepts - More Dots embossing folder
Graciellie Design Paper - Keys & Roses
Flourishes - Zinnia stamp set
Memento ink in Bamboo Leaves
Distress Embossing ink
Inkadinkado embossing powder in Pearlescent
ZAP! heat tool
Leather textured cardstock in soft pink
Stardream Rose Quartz metallic cardstock
White Pearl Linen cardstock
2 1/2" white lace
Baby Rhinestones - Silver
Baby Pearls - LeCreme

I applied the sketch horizontally, meaning that my card is horizontal folded. I crossed a piece of lace, followed by a die cut lace border and ribbon to achieve the sketch's pattern.

I die cut two labels and layered one over the other to create a nice frame. I stamped the sentiment first, then stenciled the label with embossing ink and heat set it with pearlescent embossing powder.

I completed the design with a chunky little bow and some crystals and pearls.

There's still time to join our challenge at House of Cards. Click here to link up your creation. Cards and other kinds of projects are welcome, in any and every style, as long as it follows our guidelines.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card.
