Christmas in August?
house of cards challenge: metallics

Welcome to a new month of creative inspiration! This month our challenge at House of Cards is Metallics. Feel free to translate our cue word to your papercrafting project however you like! I used gold metallic cardstock to create a white Christmas card with some vintage like paper poinsettias. I am late to the Christmas in July movement, so I'm sharing my first Christmas card today instead!

I used a technique from my tutorials (found here) to make my flowers. The technique added texture and a very dramatic look to the poinsettias. I also played with the delicate die cuts in gold to create a nice medallion. I have to admit that I love adding polka dot embossing to my cards, so I am happy with the final look of the card.

I hope you feel inspired to join our challenge this month! I am glad you stopped by today! Until next time!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic...
