Today is the beginning of my journey as part of the The Crafter's Workshop Stencils Design Team and I couldn't be happier. To celebrate I'm sharing a detailed step by step tutorial on these Tropical themed monoprinted and textured cards on TCW's blog.
Out of all the stencil techniques I've tried out, adding texture to stenciled patterns has to be one of my favorite things to do. You'll find glitter, embossing powder, mica as texture finishes, and it was lots of fun to experiment with all those different mediums. I'm also using one of my favorite stencils: TCW643 Infinite Lace by Rebekah Meier. I used craft paints this time and as you can see I've been into bold, Summer colors lately so I had to go for a strong color combo this time also. I used the new Magnolia Dreams flower stamp to finish my cards, some SVG leaf cuts and a word bead colored with alcohol markers.
Gorgeous color! will have to give this a try!
