I'm glad to be back with a new tutorial for The Crafter's Workshop. I've been playing with lots of new stencil designs TCW sent me, trying out techniques and having fun! Today I'll be showing you how to create a shadow stenciled background with inks and Deco Foil!
Another great thing about today's post is that I'll be sharing my card with the Word Art Wednesday Challenge together with my dear friend Karen Letchworth and many other talented designers. I am sponsoring a prize this time and all you need to do for a chance to win is join their challenge! It is always anything goes and it runs for 2 weeks, so I'm sure you'll find time to join the fun!
Tutorial
If you like this card be sure to stop by TCW Stencils Blog for the step by step tutorial! This background really only takes 3 to 4 steps to make and who doesn't love a beautiful foil finished card? Leave me a comment letting me know what you think about this shadow effect technique using Deco Foil! Oh, and what do you think about this beautiful new stencil, huh? It's called Celtic Design and it is available in 6 x 6" and 12 x 12" (which tempts me to try out a canvas)!
I went for a copper and teal color combination for this card and I think the softness of the colors and the elegance of the foil go very well with this week's verse at Word Art Wednesday! The verse is free for you, just visit WAW's blog to download it. As for the florals, those are from a new digital stamp set called This Season, available on my Etsy shop today.
That's it for now. Don't forget to enter your card to WAW's Challenge for a chance to win a prize to my digital shop! Reshare today's post on social media so your friends can check out this tutorial too!
Products used for this post were sent by TCW Stencils and Therm O Web.
Nevertheless, all opinions shared here are my own.
