Celebrating ODBD Scripture Blog Hop!

We are celebrating Our Daily Bread Designs 7th year anniversary this week! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ODBD! Today we start off with our first blog hop! The design team has created beautiful samples inspired in ODBD's Scripture Collection stamp sets! I created a folding screen (accordion) card using a verse from Scripture Collection 11.

I used ODBD stamps, dies and papers to create this shabby chic card. I made some flowers inked softly with sprays, added pretty die cuts and a few delicate pearls and rhinestones. This card measures 5 1/2" by 3 1/2" closed and 5 1/2" by 10 1/2" opened. It fits an A2 envelope perfectly but once opened it stands on it's own and looks very delicate and elegant.

I chose this verse because I find that it contains a very important truth for the modern church and the global society. More and more people are being overwhelmed with information and situations that defy their faith in God. It's important to remember that the truths written in the Bible are universal truths that will never fail to those who follow them. He is God and there is no other.

Our Daily Bread Designs lets us share the word of God through encouraging Christian stamp sets. This company has blessed us with it's products for 7 years now! Wow! I hope you can join me and my DT sisters as we celebrate this anniversary!

We would love to have you join us in sharing your projects using an ODBD Scripture. Whether it be cards with fun folds, CAS, cards using techniques, scrapbook pages or home decor items, we would love to see the projects you create using ODBD Scripture stamps. To enter, simply create your project using an ODBD Scripture, then add your permalink to the InLinkz found at the bottom of the post found HERE by Saturday, March 21, 2015. Seven random winners will be chosen from all entries to receive a $15 ODBD Gift Certificate to the ODBD store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website. Winners will be posted on the ODBD blog on Sunday, March 22, 2015, so please be sure to check there to see if you have won.

I invite you to visit the DT blogs for more ideas and inspiration:

Thanks so much for your visit! Have a great week and don't forget to stop by on Tuesday for yet another blog hop and more prizes!

I'm sharing my card with:

We are so excited to announce our new rubber stamp collection with Unity Stamp Company is out! We've been working behind the scenes to create a complete Fall/Winter stamp selection inspired on our digital shop with the purpose of giving traditional stampers the chance to try out our designs. There are 8 new stamp sets available now at Unity Stamp Co. and we are celebrating the ocassion with an amazing blog hop and of course we have lots of prizes for our readers!
Before we go into today's giveaways details, I would love to share the first card I made with my new rubber stamp sets! This is one of my favorite flowers in the collection and I had to play with it right away! This set is called Amazing Things and it includes beautiful inspirational sentiments.

I stamped the flowers in black, using Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Ink and colored the image with Spectrum Noir Makers Purples and Reds. I fussy cut the images using Westcott's Titanium Bonded Microtip Precision Scissors (…

Dreaming of a White Christmas
gilded & elegant christmas card

I have a confession to make... This year I've been drawn to make white and gold Christmas cards. I can't even think of traditional Christmas colors when I want to make a project! So today's poinsettia card and tutorial translate very well what Christmas is gonna be like this December at home.

White and gold look so elegant together! Since the holidays are all about sparkle too, I used one of my favorite glitter techniques and I'm sharing a quick and easy tutorial with youHERE.

I created the background myself, layering snowflake stamps in different designs, first in a very light beige, then in gold embossing. Afterwards, I dry embossed the stamped mat with a sutile polka dot design and used a brayer to apply light beige paint to the raised pattern.

As for the very layered and beautiful center of the card, I started out with an intricate die cut (see tutorial HERE) and continued building layers, with large snowflake die cuts and finally with a large handmade poinsettia …

Pears & Flowers Step Card

You may know by now that I try to make time to create projects for some of my favorite challenges. I particularly enjoy the challenges back at the Mod Squad Challenge. This week the host is Lee... She is a great host... Love her! She challenged us to use something with a Fruit or Harvest theme... Yes, it's a Fruitful Harvest challenge!

I really wanted to create something special for Lee, so I took my time. Here is my design:

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers and two pears in gold. The first are from Flourishes' Over the Garden Gate stamp set, and the last are from Inky Antics' Holy Spirit's Fruit.

I colored the images with alcohol markers. Next I fuzzy cut and sponged them with a little Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.

I also heat embossed a sentiment from Flourishes' Spring Bouquet stamp set. I die cut the sentiment with Spellbinders French Frills set and sponged it very lightly, also with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I embellished the label altering anoth…
