Lovely Stamp / Hermoso Sello / Carimbo Adorável

Today very well could be the official start of 2014. Many had extended vacations and some will start today with their new year resolutions. I hope you do accomplish every goal on your list this year.

On my card for today I used one of my favorite stamp sets. It´s no secret I love floral stamps and I enjoy coloring. This set is from It was released on 2010, but I truly like it. To color I used Spectrum Noir markers. And to complete the card I used paper cord and a little pearl embelishment.

This sentiment is so very lovely and it reflects the core of possibly everyone´s resolution. So let´s be passionate and achieve it.

Have a great week!

Challenge 97 - Sentiment as the focus

  1. Thank you Graciellie for sharing your beautiful project in the “Sentiment as the Focus” Challenge! This card is stunning to look at - I love the layers, your coloring skills are delightful and the paper cord and pearl are perfect finishing details! Well done indeed!
Oh, and by the way, would you consider switching from word verification to comment moderation instead? Word verification slows down the commenting process painfully - and many times DTs will just not leave a comment because of it. I switched over and have been quite happy using the other system. Thanks for considering it!

Pears & Flowers Step Card

You may know by now that I try to make time to create projects for some of my favorite challenges. I particularly enjoy the challenges back at the Mod Squad Challenge. This week the host is Lee... She is a great host... Love her! She challenged us to use something with a Fruit or Harvest theme... Yes, it's a Fruitful Harvest challenge!

I really wanted to create something special for Lee, so I took my time. Here is my design:

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers and two pears in gold. The first are from Flourishes' Over the Garden Gate stamp set, and the last are from Inky Antics' Holy Spirit's Fruit.

I colored the images with alcohol markers. Next I fuzzy cut and sponged them with a little Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.

I also heat embossed a sentiment from Flourishes' Spring Bouquet stamp set. I die cut the sentiment with Spellbinders French Frills set and sponged it very lightly, also with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I embellished the label altering anoth…

Dreaming of a White Christmas
gilded & elegant christmas card

I have a confession to make... This year I've been drawn to make white and gold Christmas cards. I can't even think of traditional Christmas colors when I want to make a project! So today's poinsettia card and tutorial translate very well what Christmas is gonna be like this December at home.

White and gold look so elegant together! Since the holidays are all about sparkle too, I used one of my favorite glitter techniques and I'm sharing a quick and easy tutorial with youHERE.

I created the background myself, layering snowflake stamps in different designs, first in a very light beige, then in gold embossing. Afterwards, I dry embossed the stamped mat with a sutile polka dot design and used a brayer to apply light beige paint to the raised pattern.

As for the very layered and beautiful center of the card, I started out with an intricate die cut (see tutorial HERE) and continued building layers, with large snowflake die cuts and finally with a large handmade poinsettia …
