Watercolored, One Layer Wonder

Hi friends! I am playing along a fun challenge at Mod Squad, and they've challenged us to make one layer cards. I like making them so much that I wanted to create another one. This time I went for watercoloring over heat embossed florals. Please take a look:

Materials
Flourishes - Over the Garden Gate
Ranger embossing ink
Brilliance pigment ink
Inkadinkado embossing powder - Linen White, Glam Gold
Zap! heat tool
Faber Castell watercolor pencils - 010, 032, 031, 074, 071
Bazic two sided tape
Other generic materials
7/8" satin ribbon in peach
Eggshell white cardstock

Though this is a one layer card, if you are very careful and use very, very little water, your cardstock won't bend. I don't apply the dry color directly to the image, I do it on a scrap piece of paper that I use as a palette, and add the color little by little. I colored the flowers with two tones of peach and the leaves with two tones of green. I added a heat embossed in gold sentiment, a bow and crystals to the center of the flowers.

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by.

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card.
