Three Roses

Welcome to a new post for Classy Cards 'n Such weekly challenge: Cozy Plaids. It is with great joy, and a thankful heart that I write in this occasion, since today's card represents a bunch of different good things in my life: Family, true friends, unconditional support and love.

To make my card I started by die cutting my card base with A2 Matting Basics A from off white cardstock. Then I printed a plaid digital paper, and a digital floral tag I designed, on White Pearl Linen. I die cut a matting frame and four corners with A2 Filigree Delight and a label with Fancy Label Tags One, both from the plaid patterned sheet. I die cut the floral tag with Elegant Ovals. I also used Elegant Ovals to cut a larger oval from beige cardstock.

I layered the four corners right on top of the frame's corners to create a subtle tridimensional effect, subtle because both were cut from the same paper. I added a piece of pink ribbon vertically right on the center. Then I mounted the large oval, followed by the small oval which was decorated on its top and bottom ends with the patterned tag label. The tag label was actually cut in half, and I adhered the pieces to the back of the small oval, showing only the filigree ends.

To finish my card I stamped the word "family" from Prima's Lady Bird Collection stamp set with Brilliance ink and die cut the sentiment with the smallest die from Fancy Label Tags One. And finally I embellished the die cuts with Baby Pearls - LeCreme.

I want to dedicate this card to two very special ladies, Beverly and Debbie. They are represented in this card by the two red roses, which are somehow sustaining a smaller pink rose, which I find represents me very well in this case. I want to thank these two ladies for their support and love, and for being there for me, like family.
