WINNER + Tutorial + NEW Giveaway!

Scroll down for winner and new giveaway.

You know how much I like to expand digital printables but today I went beyond! LOL. I can't believe I made a round box from a note card printable... That's right, from a note card!

One of Ewe-N-Me Printables recent release is Small Note Card and Envelope with Hang Tags - Victorian Floral. I love this set, and I love how Deena created so many complementary elements for this Victorian Floral Collection. I'll show you how to make this box using the printable note card from this set.

TUTORIAL
A. To make the box base:
1. Cut or die cut 2 circles from cardstock. I used a Spellbinders Classic Circle die to cut 3 1/2" circles.
2. Cut one strip of cardstock for the base. I cut mine 2 3/4" wide.
3. Use one cardstock circle as your base and adhere the strip of cardstock around it. Make sure you glue it to the edge of your circle base and that you use a good clear adhesive. I used a gel silicone glue and I added it from the inside so any excess can be matted later.
4. Cut another strip of cardstock for the box top. I cut mine 1 1/2" wide.
5. Repeat step 2 for the top.

B. To cover the box.
1b. Print the Note Card page twice. I printed it a little larger, at 110%.
2b. From the first print, cut the front of the note card in half lenghtwise.

3b. From the second print, cut or die cut a circle.
4b. Cover the box base with the pieces you cut on step 1b.
5b. Cover the top with the circle you cut on step 2b.

As an optional step you can layer the inside, but I only layer it were I used adhesive, the bottom of the box, and the inside of the box top. I did that with a slightly smaller circle cut from the same cardstock used for the base.

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast. So the behind the scenes may not ha...
