Welcome to my post for this month's challenge at House of Cards: Autumn Photo/Color Inspiration. Though there are no defined seasons where I live, I do enjoy seeing, through pictures, all the beautiful earthy tones that Fall brings. Of course, these tones are consequence of every tree giving in to colder temperatures, leaves drying and falling, and in general, nature dying so it can be renewed once again during Spring. I have seen families and friends going through their own Autumn recently (some of them are still struggling), and all I can do is pray that God's grace surrounds them and that He fulfills all their present needs. Hopefully, just as in nature, these trying times will be temporary for them.
To make my card I started out by stamping Butterfly from Our Daily Bread Designs on White Pearl Linen, using Memento ink in Rich Cocoa. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers in GB8, OR1, GB5, CT4 (from darkest to lightest). Once done, I covered the butterfly with Dreamweaver Translucent Embossing Paste, to give it a nice glossy look. I love how vintage and pretty the butterfly looks, and of course it looks so much better in 'real life'.
I layered some dies I cut with Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish Three, Spellbinders Gold Circles One, and Spellbinders Elegant Ovals. The polka dot paper used for the background is from Fancy Pants Designs and the vintage handwriting paper on the center is from my recently released paper pack Floral Frames.
To finish my design I added a piece of light brown gross grain ribbon and two Baby Pearls - LeCreme.
I hope you like my card... I really like how it resulted. There is more inspiration for you back at the blog, so I invite you to check out what the rest of the Vintage/Shabby Chic Team designed.

My card for today is possibly Vintage, but the polka dots make it look a bit Shabby Chic too... I suppose I mixed a bit of both styles together! One thing is sure, I love how the design resulted.
