One Layer Wonder

Hello everyone! It's funny how creativity literally has no limits. If you're inspired you will make a card regardless of how much free time you have, or how tired you may be. That is my case today. I have a vintage one layered card to share with you. Oh I really like those, because it lets you spotlight techniques and stamps, and I love to layer stamps... With no further ado, here's my card:

Materials
Stamps:
- Bo Bunny - It is Written
- Sweet n' Sassy - Vintage Postcard
- Flourishes - Spring Bouquet, Cherry Blossoms
Brilliance pigment ink - Tiramisu
Memento dye ink - Rich Cocoa
Ranger:
- Embossing ink

- Distress ink in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Old Paper
Other generic materials
Eggshell cardstock in white

I used a mask for the bouquet and stamped the vintage elements around it.  I colored the bouquet with distress inks, to get an undefined, grungy look.  I distressed the card from left to right, from dark to light. I blended my lighter distress ink (old paper) and left the right side of the card white, which adds softness to the overall design. Finally I added a one word sentiment.

I love how this card looks. I really enjoyed making it. I hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by...

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card.
