Flutter & Fly - Our Daily Bread Designs

This week the challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs is Fluttering and Flying with ODBD stamps   and here is the card I made inspired in this theme! ODBD Stamps used: Belle Vignes / ODBD Dies used: Fancy Fritillary, Fancy Foliage / ODBD Paper used: Soulful Stitches I really enjoyed using the new background stamp together with the new butterfly die cuts. I went for a fuscia color to contrast with the neutral background. Love how well the flourishes look also! This was such a nice card to create. I folded one of the butterflies to create a different look for this gorgeous die cut... It´s a really simple trick that I like to use with butterflies sometimes. I skipped adding a sentiment to the front of the card this time but I will be adding something nice inside! I finished this clean and layered design with gross grain ribbon, pearls and rhinestones. Handmade Flowers 3 - Video Tutorial

Today I'm sharing the third video in my series of tutorials on handmade flowers. The technique I'm sharing is a great technique to not only texture but also add volume to thin petal die cuts! Of course, you are more than welcome to try it out on any other kind of die cut or punched flowers. Details of this card may be found HERE ! Here is another example of how to use today's technique on different kinds of flowers: Details of this tea box can be found HERE !  I hope you enjoyed today's video tutorial! I invite you subscribe to my channel and my blog newsletter to be in the loop of every upcoming video! Thanks so much for stopping by!

New week, new challenge! It's time for a sketch challenge ar Our Daily Bread Designs . I went for a classic clean and layered style using beautiful papers, dies and stamps from ODBD. Beads, Flowers & Crackle + Video

This is proving to be a very busy week here at the blog but it's also been a happy crafting week so far! Today I'm joining the  Frilly & Funky  team as their Guest Designer, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm always inspired by the beautiful projects shared there so it's an honor to be able to join them at least for a bit! The challenge at Frilly & Funky is  Snap, Crackle, Crackle!  Let's see some cracks on your creations! You can use crackle paint, crackle paste, crackle glaze, crackle accents, an old cracked image, a piece of cracked ultra thick embossing powder, a cracked pattern from a stencil or stamp... You can even doodle on your crackle design! Anything goes, as long as is cracks! I love to use crackle embossing paste on my shabby chic projects and that's exactly what I used for today's card. ODBD Color Challenge + Video

A new month of challenges and wonderful releases is here! Have you seen Our Daily Bread Designs new release? It's just gorgeous and full of many, many new stamps and dies that I know you'll love. So today I am sharing a card I made with some of the new products for our Color Inspiration challenge . I decided to use yellow, blue and green from the color board. I didn't know how my design would turn out because this are not my usual colors, but I am really happy with the result. I used two paper collections from ODBD: Rustic Beauty and Blushing Rose . The handmade flowers were made with the new Birds and Nest   dies set, that includes two different flower dies. I will be sharing a video tutorial on how to make flowers with this set tomorrow, so stay tuned. I finished the flower bouquet with flourishes and leaves die cut with the Fancy Foliage set. I used the beautiful Quatrefoil Pattern die, cutting it roughly to give the card a mixed media feel. I

Vintage Spring Blossoms - House of Cards

Welcome to my post for this month's House of Cards challenge: Bokeh . Have you tried the Bokeh technique before? Well, I knew the technique but had not tried it yet. This technique imitates a photography effect that plays with light. I hope you get a chance to visit the House of Cards blog to see all the different samples that will be shared starting today and of course to join the challenge with your take on the Bokeh theme.  I want to apologize for the pictures because it is raining and I had to take them in my craft room. The card looks prettier in "real life" but you can sure see well the Bokeh background. I used earthy tones for the background, because I wanted to make a vintage card. Something basic to have for this technique is a circle stencil, at least that makes the process way easier. I used a homemade stencil with different sizes of circles created for me by my friend Sue (here) and applied four colors of ink with a sponge dauber. I used Distress
