Inspiration Blog Hop + Sale + DT Call & Winner

Inspiration abounds in our design team, and that is why we host a second blog hop each month to bring you new project ideas using new stamps from our digital shop. Have you visited the shop yet? We have been adding beautiful collections and I know you will find something perfect just for you! This month we released 4 stamp duo sets that the team and I have enjoyed working with because of all the possibilities, combining the images or using them on their own. For today's card I'm using digital stamps from Sending Kindness... This card could easily become a wedding card, because of the elegant foiled finishes. Adding deco foil to my digital stamps has been one of my favorite techniques since day one. I printed the flowers in laser and foiled them with different tones of gold deco foil: Champagne, Rose Gold and Amber Watercolor. I also added a rustic foiled touch to the edges of the sentiment frame using a Tape Runner XL. Of course I did print and foiled the sentiment t...

Watercolor Wash Backgrounds & Big Foiled Butterflies + This month's Winner

A few weeks ago I tried out new watercolors -those that come in tubes-. I was surprised to learn how pigmented they are and how much they allowed me to play with the colors, blending them to create beautiful washes. Well, that is exactly how today's cards started off! This month's release at the shop was very special to me, because it is my birthday month and we had a special bonus stamp release ( Pray Digital Stamp Set ). I have been so technique driven this month that I based my stamp choice for today purely on how I wanted to finish off these backgrounds. I used 3 colors for this watercolored wash: Ultramarine, Rose and Purple Pale. These stunning butterflies are from a set called Persevere -available now on Etsy-. I printed the butterflies on vellum at around 3.5 and 2.5 inches (using Microsoft Word to resize and arrange my print), using a laser printer. I then foiled them at low temperature with a Silver Deco Foil Transfer Sheet. I fussy cut each butterfly and at...

Wow! No Line Coloring with Digital Stamps May - New Release + New Guest Designer

Yes, wow! I've seen everyone doing no line coloring with clear or rubber stamps but I knew it had to be possible with digis too! I'll get into it in a minute! Today is our May Release Blog Hop and this one is extra special because May is my birthday month! We have 5 new stamp sets, 2 of which have been available as a pre-release on the shop and of course the designers have prepared amazing inspiration posts that you can't miss! I am featuring below one of our newest stamp sets: Amazing Things , that includes a lovely vintage floral image and 5 encouraging sentiments perfect for those who need hope for things ahead. I have 2 printers, a "regular" inkjet and a laser printer. Both are super useful for digital stamp printing. Laser prints allow you to foil and watercolor images without any smearing. Inkjet allows you to heat emboss on some glossy/non-porous papers and is great for copic coloring, but guess what? It smears with water... So I thought that if I pri...

DIY Background Die Layering + Our Winner is...

Every month we like to try out different techniques using our digital stamps and share short tutorials, tips and tricks with you on our inspiration blog hop. Today I have a super fun DIY tip so you can achieve the look of those new layering background dies that are so popular now! Using our new Strong & Courageous set with this bold roses, I knew I wanted a background with texture and pattern. I decided to try out one of my old background dies from Spellbinders to create a layered effect. I die cut the lattice 4 times in white and different tones of pink and adhered them shifting each one a little. The result is so neat and it really will cost you nothing since you can basically use dies from your stash! The white panel was actually embossed with the same die to continue the pattern (and it coordinates perfectly)! To break all the pink I added a bold green with the leaves and inked my silver foiled sentiment with black ink. All the coloring was done with Zig Markers. Imag...

WINNER + New Giveaway!

Hello everyone! It's about time I announce the winner of my last giveaway. Lots of things have happened recently and I really couldn't find a moment to post the winner. Some of those things were really good and some not so much. To share a few, I had the opportunity to meet in person with a friend I got to know through my blog, a fan of my handmade cards, that came all the way from Belgium to visit her family. We had to meet, and I'm so glad we did. What a nice time we had! On the other hand a friend's father passed away later that evening... His loss is even more significant to me because his dad passed away just the way my father did. I hope and pray the Lord blesses this family and gives them strenght and overwhelming peace to carry on. But as you can tell, my heart feels heavy too. I can still say I feel blessed, in the midst of it all... I am really happy to have the chance to share with you my projects and digital creations. As you may know by now, I'...

WINNER + Tutorial + NEW Giveaway!

Scroll down for winner and new giveaway. You know how much I like to expand digital printables but today I went beyond! LOL. I can't believe I made a round box from a note card printable... That's right, from a note card! One of Ewe-N-Me Printables recent release is Small Note Card and Envelope with Hang Tags - Victorian Floral. I love this set, and I love how Deena created so many complementary elements for this Victorian Floral Collection. I'll show you how to make this box using the printable note card from this set. TUTORIAL A. To make the box base: 1. Cut or die cut 2 circles from cardstock. I used a Spellbinders Classic Circle die to cut 3 1/2" circles. 2. Cut one strip of cardstock for the base. I cut mine 2 3/4" wide. 3. Use one cardstock circle as your base and adhere the strip of cardstock around it. Make sure you glue it to the edge of your circle base and that you use a good clear adhesive. I used a gel silicone glue and I adde...
