Ewe-N-Me Printables Free! + Blog Hop

Today I'm joining my friend Deena Davis and her design team for Ewe-N-Me Printables blog hop ! I was invited to join the hop as their guest designer, for which I'm very thankful. This is a great hop because all those who leave a comment on the participating blogs will receive ALL of the files used by us! Deena designed a vintage tag with a beautiful rose image! I decided to fussy cut it, add glitter to it and decoupage it mounting it on top of the another tag. I matched it with the patterned paper I designed recently since I found the patterns looked great together! I added some pretty Valentine's die cuts, pearls and ribbon all on top of a metallic cardstock base. This hop will run for three days Feb. 6th, 7th and 8th, 2015 (free files will be available on Feb. 9th). Visit each Design Team Member's blog and check out our exclusive Valentine designs Cyn - Sue - Gracie - Beth - Deena If you follow each blog and leave a comment on each blog you'll get...

Christmas Tag

I have a Christmas tag to share with you today, made with Ewe-N-Me Printables' Cocoa/Treat Envelope - Holiday Kris 101. I love this vintage Santa image. I printed the Holiday Kris 101 image and die cut the Santa using a label die with a delicate border. I die cut a second label from metallic embossed cardstock in cream. I mounted the Santa image to the metallic die cut and then adhered a white cardstock label on the back too, to add a message. Finally I added glitter glue to the Christmas tree on the image, trying not to wet the paper too much. This framed Santa would certainly look great on a card too! I invite you to experiment with this lovely vintage file and find out what you can come up with! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Thanksgiving Greetings

Thanksgiving was celebrated recently in Canada, but it's yet to be celebrated in the United States, so I still have time to share some crafty ideas for it. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving where I leave, but we used to do some abundant and fun dinners at the american school where I studied... Good old days! Today I have a card I made using a cute vintage collage from Ewe-N-Me Printables called Collage Sheet - Thanksgiving 102 . I used the image of the girl holding a mirror for the turkey that simply blew my mind... How adorable and vintage is that image! I made a card with lots and lots of layers and though this is a Fall card the color palette is very different. I picked the colors on the image for my card's color combination. I framed the image and made it the focal point of the card. I added a rosette, embellished with Fall leaves I die cut, colored with pigment and distress inks, and with Inkagold in yellow gold, to give them a nice shimmer. Other elements add...

Two in One: Christmas Card and Envelope

Who doesn't love a 2 for 1 offer? Well, today I have a 2 in 1 project I made with a printable from Ewe-N-Me ! Basically I am talking about one single digital file that can be cut and used in many different ways. I made a card and an envelope from Gift Card Envelope - Holiday Kris 101 .  I printed the file twice, once on regular white bond paper and once on white cardstock. I cut the one printed on paper as it comes originally, to make my envelope. And then I cut the one printed on cardstock trimming all the flaps, so I was left with a note card. I did print the file for the note card slightly smaller so it would fit on the envelope. You can do this by simply adjusting the printing size to 95% (or smaller if you wish). These options pop up right before printing the pdf file. As you can see the note card will have a nice image on both sides, as well as the envelope. I really love how they look. This is a simple and pretty way to add a personalized card to a Christ...

Vintage Tag

Today I want to share with you a tag I made for  Ewe-n-Me Printables ! I worked with the same collage sheet I used for last friday's vintage card: Collage Sheet - Roses . I, without planning, used the same image from the sheet, only the smaller one (the collage includes two of each image, a small and a large one).  This is a 5 1/2" x 3" tag I stamped, heat embossed, colored and distressed with ink, all on a vintage handwriting patterned paper. The small collage image was also distressed and mounted on the tag. This is a very nice and simple vintage project anyone can try out and it would certainly look very pretty on a gift bag. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you liked my tag and that you feel inspired to create some projects of your own with this lovely digitals too!

Rose Culture

Hello! Today I want to share with you a project I made with Ewe-n-Me Printables ! This time, I made a vintage card, using their Collage Sheet - Roses . These images are beautiful, and they print so bright and pretty... Love them! I used an unusual color combination to make this card and I love how it resulted. It really looks vintage and lovely. I couldn't resist adding a gold vintage button to the blue bow to finish my design. I printed the digital image on white linen cardstock. The die cuts I used framed the image very nicely. I used light brown leather textured cardstock and light blue metallic cardstock for the frames. The yellow cardstock used for the card base is lightly textured and it's called Hawaii where I live. I altered the largest frame to make it shorter. I basically cut it in half and adhered it again trying to get the right height for the front of the card. I ran across the middle of the frame a piece of blue satin ribbon and embellished it with a b...

WINNER + Tutorial + NEW Giveaway!

Scroll down for winner and new giveaway. You know how much I like to expand digital printables but today I went beyond! LOL. I can't believe I made a round box from a note card printable... That's right, from a note card! One of Ewe-N-Me Printables recent release is Small Note Card and Envelope with Hang Tags - Victorian Floral. I love this set, and I love how Deena created so many complementary elements for this Victorian Floral Collection. I'll show you how to make this box using the printable note card from this set. TUTORIAL A. To make the box base: 1. Cut or die cut 2 circles from cardstock. I used a Spellbinders Classic Circle die to cut 3 1/2" circles. 2. Cut one strip of cardstock for the base. I cut mine 2 3/4" wide. 3. Use one cardstock circle as your base and adhere the strip of cardstock around it. Make sure you glue it to the edge of your circle base and that you use a good clear adhesive. I used a gel silicone glue and I adde...
