Autumnal Inspiration - Classy Cards 'n Such

Hello! Today I want to share what I made for this week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such : Trees and/or Fall Foliage (Use trees and or fall leaves, plants). I enjoyed using earthy tones and lots of texture to make my card... It is truly an Autumn inspired creation. I used mostly Spellbinders dies to make this card. First I die cut a bunch of leaves with Bitty Blossoms , from different cardstocks, which included Echo - Bronze Stardream Metallic . I colored a couple of leaves with Yellow Gold Inka Gold. Also, I die cut some Pine leaves with Poppy Stamps' Pine Garland. Next I die cut an oval with Elegant Oval from Echo - Bronze Stardream Metallic and a smaller label with Fancy Label Tags One. I heat embossed a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs' Faith stamp set in Gold detail on the smaller label. I mounted the labels and added all the leaves to one side, framing the sentiment. I did leave a space between both tags so I could run through a piece of r...

Summer Sunflowers

Hello! Welcome to my challenge post for Classy Cards 'n Such . This week we have a great inspiration photo! Our cards have to be Sunflower Inspired. These are truly bright summer colors in an unusual combination, at least for me. I decided to emphasize on the sunflower theme adding accents of red and green around my central image. I stamped a bunch of sunflowers with Penny Black's Flower Gallery set. I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. Some of the flowers were stamped on a Spellbinders Classic Label Four, and some were fuzzy cut and adhered to the label afterwards. I applied Inka Gold in Yellow Gold to the sunflowers to give them a nice shimmer. I added Baby Rhinestones - Silver to the center of the flowers too. I mounted the white label on a green metallic Spellbinders Imperial Gold Label Four , and then mounted these on a red Spellbinders Classic Label Four. For the front of my card I added a piece of patterned paper from Shery K. Designs I printe...

Pearls and Seashells

Hello! Welcome to my very first post for Classy Cards 'N Such . This week's challenge is called A Day at the Beach and who doesn't long for one this summer, right? Well, it certainly reminded me of the aquamarine beaches we have in Honduras, particularly in the Bay Islands... So I had to use this fresh color, combined with white and sand beige, to make my card.   I used Spellbinders dies to make my card. I created the card base and central frame, on the Diamonds Effects largest frame, die cutting with A2 Matting Basics A . Then, I decided I wanted to make a double frame for the seashell with White Pearl Linen , to make it stand out from the background. To make the double frame I die cut eight corners from the A2 Filigree Delight . I layered the first four with the filigree ends towards the inside, trying to achieve a square shape. Then I layered the other four with the filigree ends towards the outside, on top of the first frame. This results in a very elegan...
