Watercolored Dog Roses with New Stamps by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

As you may know I am now part of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps creative team, but today I'm also sharing a new stamp set I had the honor of creating for the company:  Floral Greetings .  I had the absolute joy to put together this set for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps that includes two beautiful floral images and a collection of greetings for every occasion! My card for today is very clean with a striking color palette. I wanted the flowers to stand out more than anything else. I colored them -guiding myself by dog roses pictures- in two tones of pink and decoupaged them to add more dimension. To create the decoupage effect I stamped the dogrose branch twice to the background and colored the images. I also stamped the flowers on another piece of white cardstock and colored them. I then fussy cut them and adhere them on top of the previously stamped background, offsetting the flowers a bit to make them look fuller. I also added some sparkle to the images with a shimmer spra...

Fresh & Fruity with Sunny Studio Stamps
- Fun Summer Card Ideas -

Summer crafts can be so fun, especially with the sweet images from Sunny Studio Stamps . Today I'm sharing 3 cards I created with stamps from the set Fresh & Fruity ... It's so fun and versatile! My favorite thing about these stamps is all the options you get so you can add little faces and other details to your images. I created patterned backgrounds with the fun fruit images which I heat embossed in glitter gold and white. I went for an ombre look on 2 cards and I decided to watercolor the strawberries on my first card with distress inks. I also foiled the edges on my second card and discover the Thermoweb's Champagne transfer foil matches perfectly the tone of gold on Clearsnap's Glitter Gold embossing powder. Sunny Studio Stamps has a brand new release and I already picked my favorites! They also have fun, versatile dies that go along perfect with their sweet stamps. Make sure you head to their blog (that will be featuring my cards today)...

Splashes of Color + Winner
Spray Inks & Digital Stamps

Thanks to all who joined our second stamp release last week! We always love reading your comments and learning which new digital stamp sets are your favorite! Our giveaway winner has been picked... The lucky commenter who won a new stamp set of her choice is: Pamellia. Congratulations! Please use the contact form to claim your prize. Today I also have a new fun and really easy technique using digital stamps, that gives a black and white image a splash of color and a watercolor effect that only takes a minute to create! All these cards were made using new stamp sets from our March release: Dear Friend, Dream , and Patience . All three sets include gorgeous floral images that can be customized, so I resized them and printed them at around 10 cm. wide on white cardstock and cut each image to fit an A2 card. Next I sprayed each piece with ink sprays, layering at least two different colors. Tip : I used a regular inkjet printer for these cards so I used a heat gun to dry t...

Patterned Christmas Wishes

This week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such is focused on Christmas Wrappings . I went for a CAS, window card. I started out by printing two digital patterned paper on Pearl White Linen . Then I cut the papers equally and then die cut a window on one of the layers, using Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags Two . I mounted the die cut layer on top of the other patterned piece using foam adhesive. Next I adhered a piece of Scor-Pal, 8 1/2" x 11" Double sided adhesive sheet to a piece of cardstock. I removed the backing and added a mix of Crystal Ice and Green Nugget glitters from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle. I adhered it to the center of the window with foam tape. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Hero Arts Friends are Treasures stamp set on  Heavyweight Vellum , using Silver Detail embossing powder. I added the vellum banner across the center of the window and tucked the ends, adhering them to the back of the layers with 1/2" Scor-Tape . ...

Watercolor Blessings

Today I am sharing a card I made with some gorgeous products from Classy Cards 'n Such . It's an autumnal watercolored card, with a wonderful verse embossed on vellum. Watercoloring is very relaxing. I had not made a watercolored card in a while so I enjoyed making this card a lot! I started off by heat embossing in white some pears from Inky Antics' Holy Spirit's Fruit stamp set. I stamped the images trying to create an opened frame. Then I painted the pears with Faber Castell watercolor pencils. I usually don't color directly on the image, instead I color on a scrap piece of paper, and just pick up the colors with a wet brush, that way I don't leave pencil traces on my final image. I used various tones of greens and browns to achieve these shades. Once done, I went ahead and die cut the colored piece of cardstock with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A . The die cutting and embossing helps flatten the cardstock, I should add. Next I heat embossed ...

CAS mini

Hello there! If  you read my previous post then you know that this is my second mini card for the day. I thought I'd give a twist to the design of my second mini and so I went CAS.
