I was commissioned a graduation card for a Medicine School male graduate, and I decided to share it with you. I've always thought this kind of occasions merit elegant and timeless designs that the graduate can save as a beautiful memento. Since this is for a male recipient I decided to use opaque silver and gray for a monochromatic combination. I used this great sentiment which is a perfect fit for the occasion and heat embossed it in silver. The stunning die cuts add so much to the design, especially the intricate pierced elements added diagonally on the background. I decided to finish the card with grosgrain ribbon made into a simple loop and also with a few rhinestones. Hope this gives you ideas for future graduation cards you may need to make! What are you inspired by? I love delicate patterns and pastel colors... I love to add layers and dimension to a project. I love to inspire others too! All of this things inspire me to create and motivate me to keep on doing what I do. Today I am sharing a card I made with beautiful papers, stamps and dies from Our Daily Bread Designs, using one of the new dies in an unconventional way. I wanted to create a decorative column for the background using various layers. I had been wanting to use the new Pegboard die from ODBD in an unexpected way and what I did is die cut two pegboards and cut about 1/4" from them and then cut one of them in half. The pegboard column adds a so much detail and interest to the card. Another interesting touch I added was the vellum frame. I die cut one Lacey Square from ODBD, cut it in thirds and adhere the two remainding corners under the sentiment label. It's time for a color challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs . We have a lovely color scheme to inspire you this week! I love the tones of lilacs combined with the peachy pink and vanilla included on the color board, in fact those are some of my favorite colors. I die cut a background lilac layer with Flourished Star Pattern. This set has a beautiful pierced matting layer die, that I use all the time. Once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm happy to have the chance to share with you a card I made using gorgeous supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such ! I love to add encouraging sentiments to my cards, and CCNS carries many beautiful stamp sets with uplifting messages. Today my card features one of these stamps, with a saying I firmly believe in. I started out by die cutting a base layer from Stardream Rose Quartz using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A. Then I die cut a filigree frame using Our Daily Bread's Vintage Flourish Pattern . The patterned paper I used is actually digital, and I printed it on White Pearl Linen . Next I stamped and heat embossed in Gold detail a sentiment from Inky Antics Holy Spirit's Fruit stamp set. I have Christmas card to share today, a card I made with beautiful paper crafting products from Classy Cards 'n Such store ! I wanted to make an elegant, neutral colored card that would work well for both a man and a woman. I used beige tones, mixing matte and metallic cardstocks to achieve a classic design. I have two cards to share with you all. For my first card, I made a large rosette by die cutting two frames with the Flourished Star Pattern, then cutting them in halves vertically, scoring each piece and finally adhering the pieces together. I also die cut four Gilded Gates to create two borders for the background of the card. Finally I stamped one of the many lovely sentiments from the Mini Tags clear stamp set on a mini tag die cut, which I mounted on a larger coordinating tag label. Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs November Release. As you may know already I've been invited to join ODBD this month as a guest designer. I've been delighted with all your kind and encouraging comments, and of course I'll have a wonderful time designing with ODBD's Splendorous Stars Christmas Collection. Here is a card and gift box set I made for today: I wanted to create a delicate card, so I die cut the card base using the Flourished Star Pattern frame. I added a piece of lilac ribbon around the front of the card and adhered a double bow embellished with a couple of stars. I added a large sentiment, which I stamped and heat embossed in silver on a label die cut. To add contrast, I sponged the label with Memento Lulu Lavender ink. Time is flying, and it seems that it'll be Christmas before we know it! So I think a good Christmas challenge is a great excuse to catch up on all those holiday cards that need to be ready on time! This week at Classy Cards 'n Such our challenge is Trim a Tree : Use a Christmas tree with Gold and/or Silver. What an elegant and classy combination for a holiday card! I decided to make a cleaner card this week, but of course as always you'll notice I used detailed filigree dies, which I find work great with Christmas designs. To make my card I die cut a frame from cream embossed metallic cardstock using the Vintage Flourish Pattern set. Then I die cut a Christmas tree from the silver back of a Delicate Pastels Craft Foil by Spellbinders with an old Christmas Tree die from my stash. Hello! I want to share a card I made using some lovely items from Classy Cards 'n Such store . It is a monochromatic square card in pink and white. To make this lovely card I die cut four square medallions with Spellbinders Damask Motifs from Stardream Rose Quartz metallic cardstock (sincerely, one of my favorite cardstocks). I added the medallions one next to the other to cover the front of the white card base. Next I added a piece of 3/8" gross grain ribbon across the middle of the card, vertically. I heat embossed a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Faith stamp set in Silver detail , on white cardstock. I die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders Adorning Squares and then I stenciled the resulting label with Ranger Distress Ink in Spun Sugar, using Ranger's Mini Ink Blending Tool .
