Pink for October
Inspirational Card with Unity Stamp Co.

Hope, faith and a vision of a better, healthier and brighter future should never leave our minds, but there are times when it is really hard to believe there will be better days... This month is dedicated to a delicate matter that has become part of every single person in the world, as a patient, a friend, a relative, a loving one... I hope every post, every project posted online by all of us paper crafters can reach and inspire that special someone who is needing inspiration... The promise contained in this verse has always inspired me so I thought I'd share it with everyone through this stamp set released recently by Unity Stamp Co. Blossoms & Blessings  (view this and other sets HERE ). It's a promise of peace, joy and good future... A beautiful inspiring verse that I hope encourages you today. I layered many dies on this card, all of them from Spellbinders. I was watching Marie Antoinnette's movie while I was working so possibly something from that ove...

Weekly Inspiration with ODBD

What are you inspired by? I love delicate patterns and pastel colors... I love to add layers and dimension to a project. I love to inspire others too! All of this things inspire me to create and motivate me to keep on doing what I do. Today I am sharing a card I made with beautiful papers, stamps and dies from Our Daily Bread Designs, using one of the new dies in an unconventional way. I wanted to create a decorative column for the background using various layers. I had been wanting to use the new Pegboard die from ODBD in an unexpected way and what I did is die cut two pegboards and cut about 1/4" from them and then cut one of them in half. The pegboard column adds a so much detail and interest to the card. Another interesting touch I added was the vellum frame. I die cut one Lacey Square from ODBD, cut it in thirds and adhere the two remainding corners under the sentiment label. This is the last thing I added to the card, and I actually had to come back and add that fini...

This week's challenge is a sketch and below is the card I made inspired on it. Supplies Music Speaks stamp set Beautiful Borders Dies Doily Dies Flourished Star Pattern Die This month's new release at ODBD is filled with beautiful stamps about worship. I used the new stamp set called Music Speaks. I felt quite inspired, since a great part of my life was devoted to serving in worship teams. While I was making my card a...

Good Thoughts Bear Good Fruit

Once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm happy to have the chance to share with you a card I made using gorgeous supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such ! I love to add encouraging sentiments to my cards, and CCNS carries many beautiful stamp sets with uplifting messages. Today my card features one of these stamps, with a saying I firmly believe in. I started out by die cutting a base layer from Stardream Rose Quartz using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A. Then I die cut a filigree frame using Our Daily Bread's Vintage Flourish Pattern . The patterned paper I used is actually digital, and I printed it on White Pearl Linen . Next I stamped and heat embossed in Gold detail a sentiment from Inky Antics Holy Spirit's Fruit stamp set. Centering the already stamped sentiment, I die cut the cardstock with a gorgeous new die from Spellbinders called Victorian Medallion Two, and stenciled the center with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar. Before mounting all the pieces to ...

Girly Christmas

Today I want to share with you a cute pink Christmas card! I thought I'd make a girly Christmas card to keep on my stash since I know there may be a Christmas newborn baby, or also a girl I could give this card to with a girly gift this year. I decided to focus on the lovely Stardream Rose Quartz metallic cardstock, so I die cut a layer and some filigree embellishments from it. I used white leather textured cardstock for my cardbase and top layer, which I die cut using A2 Matting Basics A . I die cut some ornament shaped windows on the top layer with Spellbinders Holiday Tags. I also added a lattice die cut from Heavyweight Vellum with Spellbinders Fancy Lattice and adhered it to the back of the top layer. Next, I attached the pink filigree ornaments to the windows using some Tombow Mono Multi Glue . Before mounting it all to my card base I added a cute tule bow and pink ribbon. To finish the clean and cute design I added large pearls and Baby Rhinestones - Silver . I...

In His Time

Hello! I want to share a card I made using some lovely items from Classy Cards 'n Such store . It is a monochromatic square card in pink and white. To make this lovely card I die cut four square medallions with Spellbinders Damask Motifs from Stardream Rose Quartz metallic cardstock (sincerely, one of my favorite cardstocks). I added the medallions one next to the other to cover the front of the white card base. Next I added a piece of 3/8" gross grain ribbon across the middle of the card, vertically. I heat embossed a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Faith stamp set in Silver detail , on white cardstock. I die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders Adorning Squares and then I stenciled the resulting label with Ranger Distress Ink in Spun Sugar, using Ranger's Mini Ink Blending Tool . I die cut four flowers from Stardream Rose Quartz, with Small Blooming Poinsettia by PoppyStamps. I double layered each flower and with one of them I didn'...

Gift of Hope

It's time for a new challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such: Let's make it Pink. October, as you know, is Breast Cancer Awareness month and this challenge is an opportunity to send our love, encouragement and words of hope to all of those ladies out there who have struggled or are struggling with this terrible disease today. I think now a days each of us knows someone who has battled breast cancer. Whether those loved ones lost or won their fight the most important thing is justly that, that they have fought for their lives. Please my friends, do your check-ups regularly because an early diagnose can certainly save your life! I lost one very dear "adoptive" aunt to breast cancer. She decided to hide the illness for years, even knowing one of her sons was a doctor (miss her). And as we speak an aunt in Brazil is battling cancer, her son too is a doctor (my cousin) and he is taking the best care of her. I have hope that she will make it... I pray she does! I ...

Pretty in Pink

Hello! I'm feeling extra inspired today since we just came back from a fabulous vacation, surprise vacation that coincided with our wedding anniversary and happened to be in the very same place we were as newly weds, The Bay Islands. And no, it wasn't planned! Seems like my first card for CCNS (here) inspired on the islands' beaches brought me good luck and attracted this unexpected blessing! Today I have a card to share with you inspired on our challenge for this week: Use Gingham. This time I went for a pretty monochromatic card, with lots of pink and cuteness.  I used Spellbinders dies to make my card. I started off by printing my gingham patterned paper on White Pearl Linen which is my preferred texture for this task. I then die cut the main layer with A2 Matting Basics A. Next I created a vertical column layering lots of borders in pink and white. I used the most wonderful metallic cardstocks, Stardream Rose Quartz and Riccio Astrosilver Embossed Met...

Challenge/ Reto / Desafio

This year I plan to participate in a few challenges. I think it´s a way to motivate yourself to create new and different things, to showcase your creations and to share with many other crafters of the community. This time is  Timeless Tuesday #253  turn, at Flourishes. Best of all is the winner´s prize: All stamp sets of their recent release.  The main rule is to create a shaped card, so for this one I used the larger dies of Spellbinders Gold Labels Four. And to honor Flourishes Stamps I used my beloved Cherry Blossoms Set (I know, I love it...). I used Spectrum Noir markers to color and Ranger´s Distress Ink in Spun Sugar to shadow it a bit, this last one matches the ribbon perfectly.  Hope you like it! Este año pienso participar en algunos retos. Creo que es una manera de motivarse a sĂ mismo a crear cosas nuevas y diferentes, de mostrar mis creaciones y de compartir con muchos otros artesanos de la comunidad. Esta vez es el turno de  T...
