Shabby Chic Heart Valentine's Card + Video
Glitter Paste, Layered Butterflies & Flowers

I was inspired by a friend not long ago who shared a few videos and cards using glitter paste. I decided to create a duplicate paste hoping it would end up as pretty as the original. Turns out it did. Today I'm sharing a video showing you how I made this shabby chic Valentine's card and how I created glitter paste using supplies I already had in my stash.

Main Supplies:
ODBD dies: Ornate Hearts / Angel Wings / Soulful Stitches paper pack
Carta Bella Hello Again paper pack
Marianne Designs Vintage Butterfly
Dreamweaver translucent and gold embossing paste / Palette knife
Ranger: Distress Ink reinker in Dried Marigold / Mini mister
Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds glitter
Marion Smith Designs Pearl Stamens - White
Miscelaneous: Pearl stickers / vintage style button / gauze / word bead / stencils / pink metallic cardstock / white leather textured cardstock

There's also a step by step tutorial on how I created this layered butterfly embellishment here. The flowers which were also handmade were created using the technique I shared on my Handmade Flowers Tutorial Series, here.

I enjoyed creating this card so much. All the delicate die cuts and elements added make this card perfect for Valentine's. I hope you enjoyed today's post and tutorials. Leave me a comment below to let me know if you found the video and tutorial guide useful.

Mark your calendars and stop by on Monday, February 1st. to be part of a new blog hop and giveaway! I know you will love to see all the new products and inspiration projects the designers will be sharing.

Thanks for visiting!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast.
