WINNER + Tutorial + NEW Giveaway!

Scroll down for winner and new giveaway.

You know how much I like to expand digital printables but today I went beyond! LOL. I can't believe I made a round box from a note card printable... That's right, from a note card!

One of Ewe-N-Me Printables recent release is Small Note Card and Envelope with Hang Tags - Victorian Floral. I love this set, and I love how Deena created so many complementary elements for this Victorian Floral Collection. I'll show you how to make this box using the printable note card from this set.

TUTORIAL
A. To make the box base:
1. Cut or die cut 2 circles from cardstock. I used a Spellbinders Classic Circle die to cut 3 1/2" circles.
2. Cut one strip of cardstock for the base. I cut mine 2 3/4" wide.
3. Use one cardstock circle as your base and adhere the strip of cardstock around it. Make sure you glue it to the edge of your circle base and that you use a good clear adhesive. I used a gel silicone glue and I added it from the inside so any excess can be matted later.
4. Cut another strip of cardstock for the box top. I cut mine 1 1/2" wide.
5. Repeat step 2 for the top.

B. To cover the box.
1b. Print the Note Card page twice. I printed it a little larger, at 110%.
2b. From the first print, cut the front of the note card in half lenghtwise.

3b. From the second print, cut or die cut a circle.
4b. Cover the box base with the pieces you cut on step 1b.
5b. Cover the top with the circle you cut on step 2b.

As an optional step you can layer the inside, but I only layer it were I used adhesive, the bottom of the box, and the inside of the box top. I did that with a slightly smaller circle cut from the same cardstock used for the base.

We are so excited to announce our new rubber stamp collection with Unity Stamp Company is out! We've been working behind the scenes to create a complete Fall/Winter stamp selection inspired on our digital shop with the purpose of giving traditional stampers the chance to try out our designs. There are 8 new stamp sets available now at Unity Stamp Co. and we are celebrating the ocassion with an amazing blog hop and of course we have lots of prizes for our readers!
Before we go into today's giveaways details, I would love to share the first card I made with my new rubber stamp sets! This is one of my favorite flowers in the collection and I had to play with it right away! This set is called Amazing Things and it includes beautiful inspirational sentiments.

I stamped the flowers in black, using Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Ink and colored the image with Spectrum Noir Makers Purples and Reds. I fussy cut the images using Westcott's Titanium Bonded Microtip Precision Scissors (…

Dreaming of a White Christmas
gilded & elegant christmas card

I have a confession to make... This year I've been drawn to make white and gold Christmas cards. I can't even think of traditional Christmas colors when I want to make a project! So today's poinsettia card and tutorial translate very well what Christmas is gonna be like this December at home.

White and gold look so elegant together! Since the holidays are all about sparkle too, I used one of my favorite glitter techniques and I'm sharing a quick and easy tutorial with youHERE.

I created the background myself, layering snowflake stamps in different designs, first in a very light beige, then in gold embossing. Afterwards, I dry embossed the stamped mat with a sutile polka dot design and used a brayer to apply light beige paint to the raised pattern.

As for the very layered and beautiful center of the card, I started out with an intricate die cut (see tutorial HERE) and continued building layers, with large snowflake die cuts and finally with a large handmade poinsettia …

Pears & Flowers Step Card

You may know by now that I try to make time to create projects for some of my favorite challenges. I particularly enjoy the challenges back at the Mod Squad Challenge. This week the host is Lee... She is a great host... Love her! She challenged us to use something with a Fruit or Harvest theme... Yes, it's a Fruitful Harvest challenge!

I really wanted to create something special for Lee, so I took my time. Here is my design:

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers and two pears in gold. The first are from Flourishes' Over the Garden Gate stamp set, and the last are from Inky Antics' Holy Spirit's Fruit.

I colored the images with alcohol markers. Next I fuzzy cut and sponged them with a little Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.

I also heat embossed a sentiment from Flourishes' Spring Bouquet stamp set. I die cut the sentiment with Spellbinders French Frills set and sponged it very lightly, also with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I embellished the label altering anoth…
