Guest Design Team - Add a Little Dazzle

I was directly invited to guest design for  Add a Little Dazzle's design team and I couldn't be happier. Starting today I'll share projects featuring the beautiful metal sheets from AALD . Also, I will be creating projects for partner companies, so you won't want to miss a post! Today I am sharing my first card for the weekly Dazzling Diva challenge #42 : Photo Inspiration . I used a Golden Glimmer Metal Sheet for the decorative leaves. I cut them with a die from Cas-ual Fridays. I love how they accentuate the central oval. I was able to fold the leaves around the oval without them tearing. The metal is thin but very resistant. I used UHU all purpose adhesive to attach the leaves (that works very well with the metal sheets). The ovals were die cut from textured cardstock with Elegant Ovals die cuts. Before attaching the ovals to my card base I added a piece of sand beige gross grain ribbon. The background paper I used is from Fancy Pants Designs and I think...

Fall Roses

It's time for another challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such . Today I want to share with you the card I made for this week's challenge: Stripes, Dots, Chevrons . You can use all of the patterns or just one of them! I decided to go for the dots, in vintage style. To make my card, first I printed a digital patterned paper that I designed (soon to be released) on White Pearl Linen . Then I die cut the patterned paper with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A. To embellish the front of my card I die cut three ovals from Spellbinders Elegant Ovals , one medium size and two small ones. I created a medallion label with the last two, mounting one over the other. I ran across a piece of gross grain ribbon in cream between the medium oval and the small medallion label. I added a few pine leaves to one side of the ovals that were die cut from Poppy Stamps' Pine Garland, that looks quite charming and goes along well with the Fall theme. Before I adhered the ovals to the patte...

Sweet Hope

I'm glad to have the chance to share with you a card I made with some lovely new items from Classy Cards 'n Such store .  I started out by stamping the sweet Feeding Birds stamp from Wild Rose Studio, with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on White Pearl Linen . I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Markers. Then I die cut the colored image with Spellbinders Elegant Ovals and stenciled it with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar. I also framed it with a larger oval from the same set, that I die cut from Graciellie Design digital patterned paper printed on White Pearl Linen . I crossed two pieces of ribbon vertically and horizontally, through and over the ovals, respectively and mounted them on a large frame die cut from Stardream Rose Quartz  with Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight. To finish the design I added a butterfly, die cut with Joy Crafts Vintage Flourishes Butterfly and a little tag, die cut with Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One , both cut from...

Autumnal Inspiration - Classy Cards 'n Such

Hello! Today I want to share what I made for this week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such : Trees and/or Fall Foliage (Use trees and or fall leaves, plants). I enjoyed using earthy tones and lots of texture to make my card... It is truly an Autumn inspired creation. I used mostly Spellbinders dies to make this card. First I die cut a bunch of leaves with Bitty Blossoms , from different cardstocks, which included Echo - Bronze Stardream Metallic . I colored a couple of leaves with Yellow Gold Inka Gold. Also, I die cut some Pine leaves with Poppy Stamps' Pine Garland. Next I die cut an oval with Elegant Oval from Echo - Bronze Stardream Metallic and a smaller label with Fancy Label Tags One. I heat embossed a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs' Faith stamp set in Gold detail on the smaller label. I mounted the labels and added all the leaves to one side, framing the sentiment. I did leave a space between both tags so I could run through a piece of r...
