HIMCR05NSD - Thank You

Hello again! This is the last challenge of the day on Hiding in my Craft Room, the Design Team has made a great effort and has had a lot of fun creating all these projects and celebrating National Scrapbooking Day. I'm so glad you could stop by every hour to check out our work and our challenges.

And to close this celebration, we want to say thank you to all of you for your support and kind comments. Also, our last challenge is to create a thank you card or gift.

A lucky winner will receive
a $12 Gift Certificate to their store!

I had the chance to use one of their gorgeous images, Vintage Poppy Cluster. So nice to work with! Please take a look at what I created with it:

Materials
Stamps:
A Day for Daisies - Vintage Poppy Cluster
Stampendous - Spanish Grettings
Spellbinders:
- Large Labels
- Grand Large Labels
- Gold Labels Four
- Ornamental Iron embossing folder
- Grand Calibur die cutting machine
Spectrum Noir markers - Reds
Staedtler markers - light brown
Ranger Distress ink in Old Paper
Merletto crystals
Bazic two sided tape and foam tape
Other generic materials
Textured cardstock in light brown and red
Eggshell cardstock in white
Feuille cardstock in sand beige
3/8" gross grain ribbon in light brown
1/4" gold edge satin ribbon in old gold
Vintage button

This is an A2 gate card with a thank you tag included in a hidden pocket. I started by dry embossing the card base front (both sides of the gate). I layered it with three Classic Labels and two Gold Labels Four on the right. I used the 'out of the box' techique with the top layer, so some petals and stems were left outside the label. When adhering this last layer, I left one side unattached so that I could use that space as a pocket for my tag. All these layers were adhered to the top side of the gate, so to speak. I added some crystals, ribbon, and a double bow with a vintage button to finish my design.

I hope you  like my card and that you can join at least one of our NSD challenges. They will be open for a week, so you have time to link up your project!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast.
