March New Release at our Digital Shop!!! Blog Hop + $15 Gift Card

It's time for our March release at Graciellie Design's Digital Shop! The team and I are sharing lots of inspiration, tips and ideas on how to use our new collection of digital stamps. We also have a giveaway, so stick with us to learn how you could win!

I've been playing a lot with foil resist techniques using different mediums. This time I colored these lovely Lace Flowers with pigment inks, blending different colors to achieve a soft and pretty look.

This card is also a shaker card, so it was fun to make too! To have it be a flatter shaker I used glitter. To finish the card I added a foiled sentiment on vellum and a few rhinestones. The final effect of this card is truly soft and very Spring forward!

For my second card I used Hello Gorgeous, a must-have digi set the designers and I truly enjoyed coloring! I printed the flowers on a laser printer, heated the toner ink to set it completely just in case and brought out my Zigs to create a beautiful blend of blues and greens. Just when you thought digis couldn't be watercolored... I've tried almost every technique with digis (see here), so don't feel intimidated! (Besides, it will save you time and money! Yay!)

All that yummy sparkle on the flowers was added with shimmer spray, but you could also use glitter glue or glitter pens. The sparkle on the papers is actually original to some amazing metallic cardstocks (Juniper Berry Glimmer and Onyx Mica/Metallic) from an online shop I love: Paper Temptress. This card is just a little taste of what's coming on March 15th, as we will have a blog hop with Paper Temptress' designers to showcase our stamps together with their beautiful cardstocks!

Now, come check out what the designers prepared for you!
Leave a comment on every stop for a chance to win a $15 gift card to the shop!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast.
