April Showers Bring May Flowers - HIMCR #146

Good day everyone! Spring has arrived for some, but others haven't seen a hint of it yet. I, on the other hand, have sunlight almost all year long where I live and my flowers are always blooming... Don't despair, instead let's craft some floral projects, let's celebrate Spring together.

This week our challenge at Hiding in my Craft Room is "April Showers Bring May Flowers", so feel free to use any kind of flowers on your project: die cut or fabric flowers, flower clip arts, etc. We have two sponsors this week who are offering great prizes to the winners of this challenge:

To emphasize on the floral theme, I started off layering my pink card base with a floral expandable die, cut out from floral paper. I made the image the focal point of the card, framing it with a label shaped die cut and embellishing it with a rose and a flourish. The sweet holly hobbie was colored with markers, but in the end I thought I would add some glitter accents to the girl's dress and hat. I did that using a local distributed glitter glue from Pelikan that I love to use because it is really mess free, and can be applied specifically to the areas you need to embellish. To finish my design I added some ribbon and crystals.

This card doesn't have a sentiment, but I love how it looks... So feminine and floral. What else could I ask for, right? I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did. I would love to hear what you think!

Celebrate spring with us and join our challenge this week. All you need to do is visit Hiding in my Craft Room, follow our guidelines and link your project.

I hope you had a blessed and joyful Easter week. Take a moment to be thankful and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones.
