The Liebster Award

Today was that day of the month destined to go out and run the so needed errands on my to do list. Mostly it was a shopping day. I just arrived home, happy and tired (my boy came with me, and that requires extra energy), and to my surprise, enormous surprise, I find out I was nominated for the Liebster Award! I received a message from the lovely Diana Nguyen, Challenge Team member of Our Daily Bread Designs, saying that she had nominated my blog for the Liebster Award. Thank you so very much Diana, for your kindness and support.

The Liebster Award helps bring awareness to blogs with less than 300 followers. I started my blog in January 2014 and this award gives me a great opportunity to share my work with many more in the blogging community. So it's amazing that Diana thought of me, THANKS girl!

Rules for participating in the Liebster Award nominations:

- Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog and answer the 11 questions they presented
- Link back to your presenter's blog
- Copy and Paste the pink Liebster logo to your blog
- Nominate 5 blogs to receive the award, who have less than 300 followers and create a list of 11 new questions for them, and
- Inform them of their nomination

I hope you take moment to visit these amazing bloggers, I know you will be impressed. I learn something every time I visit.

11) Other hobby besides stamping?

(Maritza please apply this questions to your blog's subject)

Here are my answers to Diana's questions:

1) When did you start stamping?

I started making cards on 2010, but it was until 2011 that I really discovered what paper crafting was about, so to speak.

2) Name one blogger on your reading list.

Becca Feeken for sure (Amazing Paper Grace).

3) Cat or Dog?

Cat! I've had at least 10 during the first 20 years of my life.

4) Orderly or messy?

Somewhere in between. See, I am a perfectionist, so originally I'm orderly. But I'm a mom now, and with a little boy comes some mess for sure! I embrace it, and keep going... LOL

5) Favorite way to color?

Lately, water coloring... I'm in love with watercolor resist

6) Favorite creation?

It has to be Cottage Charm. This card was designed for an ODBD challenge and it was recently chosen Weekly Favorite on Splitcoast Stampers. It's given me friends, it's opened doors for me and I'm thankful for that.

7) Pet peeve?

Well, I'm a daughter of a veterinarian, and I got to see him do surgery on horses and sort. I even helped raise new born calves at some point. So I've seen a lot. BUT, I can't stand reptiles that's something I don't like at all, and yes I've seen plenty, but I can't get used to them! LOL.

8) Favorite vacation spot?

Bay Islands (Roatán to be exact), Honduras.

9) Favorite movie?

My recent favorite is The Great Gatsby... Yes, I know, which else right? I even made a card inspired on the movie: Daisy Inspired. Those who know me and my blog, know how much I love vintage/retro/shabby.

10) Best day ever?

A day out of town with my husband and son.

11) Other hobby besides stamping?

Not at the moment. But I do enjoy watering and fertilizing my plants, though I don't think it's enough to call it gardening (I wish!).

I am delighted to be part of this award chain, it is a true blessing to me and I will forever appreciate it. I was not expecting and maybe that makes it even more delightful. This is a very, very new blog, so THANK YOU Diana, and THANK YOU FRIENDS AND FOLLOWERS, for your support! You made my day even better!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic... But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you'll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection. Video Tutorial This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you'll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast. So the behind the scenes may not ha
